I was utterly disappointed. The pizza I had at this restaurant was a product unworthy of its name. Only a thousand witnesses could convince me that what I ate was pizza. The quality of the ingredients seriously needs to be questioned. Experiencing this delicious meal, part of the Italian tradition and culture, in such a way was a huge disappointment for me. It's been an hour since the meal, but the fake cheese impersonating mozzarella is still refusing to leave from between my teeth.
The chef, who put the pizza into the oven, dragged me into the black hole of Italian culinary culture, as if he used a time machine instead of a traditional pizza oven.
I would prefer to swim in the puddle next door rather than set foot in this restaurant again. And if I have to pass by, I would sprint across to the other side.
In short, I would suggest sending the chefs there to Italy for a while to learn how to make pizza, maybe for 6 months? Apparently, watching current pizza-making books and online videos has not been sufficient.
In conclusion, my recommendation to those who want to visit this restaurant is that if you want a slice of 'Real Italian Pizza', you might have to wait a bit for this place, at least until their chefs return from their...
Read moreService: friendy. BUT: they forgot to put salt&pepper and the basic oil&vinegar on our table to accompany the bread (sorry, but I expect that). We had to get it ourselves from an empty table. In the middle of our dinner they even took it away from us to give to other customers, without a word or at least eye contact: No go.
Food: I had the truffled asparagus tagliatelle which was dry unfortunately. The truffle was almost not detectable, the pasta was sticking to each other like it was not stirred during the cooking process. Sorry, but the place has the word "Pasta" in the title. The asparagus was not well enough peeled and bitter, all in all not well seasoned.
My partner had the gorgonzola walnut pasta. The walnuts could have been chopped at least. Better than the truffle pasta though in total.
In general: You definetly find better places for pasta, the food was dry and bland. Also, I expect fresh black pepper and not already ground pepper on the table, the pasta could have been more al dente and made with more attention. For truffle pasta and fresh made pasta I definitely...
Read moreThe food and the ambience were really good. Unfortunately the service was not. The waiter was really rude and since he seemed to be more friendly to the ppl on other tables, it can be assumed that it was racial discrimination (I was there with my Thai boyfriend and he was the only non-white person there). It seemed like we were ignored on purpose and just didn’t get the same treatment as other guests. After feeling very unwelcome we didn’t feel like giving tip. We wanted to pay with card and the waiter asked what amount to put in the machine and pointed out several times that tip was not included. I think it is not professional to ask for tip this way. Especially after bad...
