It took me time to write this review because I had quite a traumatic experience of what I regard as extreme rudeness in this restaurant (I am aware that this review will get a similar reaction from the owner). Usually, I don't like to put negative reviews but I've never had such an experience before. We ordered Betelumas-Biryani which was supposed to arrive with lamb, cashew nuts, raisins etc. What we got was far from what was described: it tastes like a rise boiled half with tomatoes and half with chilli peppers. No hints of meat (the owner pretended it was minced and mixed deep inside the dish), no hints of cashews or raisins, unless they were present as an invisible powder. The dish was so horrible spicy, not tasty ans not eatable for both of us that this was the first time we weren't able to eat it. When I started to discuss it with the owner, he told me in an extreme rude and aggressive way that this is the dish and we have to pay for it. We were in a hurry so didn't have time to change it for something else as he suggested so in the end after long and unpleasant discussion he agreed to accept a half payment. No excuses, apologizes from the owner. We went out of this restaurant with such a bad feeling after the food and rude treatment that this was the first time I cried on my way...
Read moreThe behavior of the staff was bad and rude. Of course, in fact, one person took the food order and the same person prepared the food!!! I tried to use both English and German, but the response was still unexplained and hostile. I was there with my daughter. The meat in the stew was not fresh and was completely pureed, and when I asked, he said that the meat in Sri Lankan food should be mashed and pureed!! I had ordered rice and chicken curry. The bowl of stew was in a rice bowl and the rice was completely stuck to the bowl of stew and could not be removed. After paying the money, I mentioned the problems very calmly, but the treatment was equally rude, with Sri Lankan language and loud tone. This was the first time I didn't tip after eating at a restaurant. I don't...
Read moreUnfortunately, too Germanized as there's zero spiciness. I asked for "middle" spicy and my partner is from Sri Lanka and asked for as spicy as possible but neither of us got any hint of chili or spicy.
I'm guessing so many Germans complained that it's too hot so they no longer make spicy food anymore and it's probably premade in batches so it cannot be made spicier even though it says in the menu to ask for "extra scharf" which we did and got none. It was disappointing but the staff is very nice and the food is good, just don't expect anything made with...
