Five Stars and a Food Coma: Sofram is a Turkish Delight!
Let me just say this upfront: if you haven’t been to Sofram in Berlin, what are you even doing with your life?
We stumbled into this cozy Turkish gem with empty stomachs and modest expectations, and we rolled out stuffed, euphoric, and seriously considering writing Sofram into our wills. This place is that good.
I ordered the haşlama, a humble dish in theory — but at Sofram, it’s a warm, comforting hug from your imaginary Turkish grandma. The meat was so tender, I swear it sighed when the fork touched it. My husband went with the Izmir köfte, and he spent the entire meal making sounds typically reserved for private moments or expensive spas. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and plated like a love letter to meatballs.
And then. Oh dear reader. The Künefe.
This dessert deserves its own Netflix series. Crispy, gooey, cheesy, syrupy — I had to check my passport because I was definitely no longer in Berlin. We both agreed: this dessert is not from this planet. It’s from some celestial pastry realm where angels spin kadayıf and sing sweet syrup lullabies.
Service? 10/10. Fast, friendly, and with the kind of genuine warmth that makes you feel like you’re being welcomed home. Prices? Honestly, we double-checked the bill because we thought they undercharged us. Berlin, are you okay? This much deliciousness shouldn’t be so affordable.
In conclusion: Run, don’t walk. Cancel your dinner plans. Tell your friends. Tell your enemies. Sofram is not just a restaurant — it’s a full-blown Turkish experience, and we’re already planning...

My experience with Adana Kebabs till now was bitter sweet. A lot of places overdo it with oil while prepping on normal grills but this place just nailed it.
The flavour was on point, perfect blend of spices, and the best part was that it was made on a charcoal grill that gave it a perfect dash of smokiness. Hands down the best Adana Kebab plate in the city till now.
The tea in the end was complimentary and it was the perfect end to the meal.
We came this side of the city to visit another nearby resto but it had a long waiting and did not regret a bit with our choice no. 2. Definitely going back again for the...
Read moreThe food was cooked with quite a lot of oil - tasted very fat. Falafel was over-fried and dry. Overall, it was an average meal at best. I was charged 3 EUR on top of the price announced in the outside promo shield (which isn't printed, but handwritten which suggest that it should certainly be up-to-date). The bill was handwritten and not easy to understand. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to argue (a consequence of a long serving time).
The waiting time for a vegetarian meal was around 25min which was surprisingly long while the kitchen didn't look busy. It was also a surprise that cash only is accepted: I didn't notice any signs and the waiters didn't mention it before serving.
I don't...
