Lovely location for a sunset drink but didn’t have the best experience. We were asked to wait before seated, which is standard, but after a few minutes a server finally came to accept us in and instead of showing us to a free table, pointed in the direction of a table. Until we walked over and explored ourselves what was suitable, we could sit down. Menus were provided on the table, so we quickly decided what we wanted to drink in the evening sun. It took a little over 10 minutes for a server to come and ask us what we wanted. He then promptly said, I’ll be back to take your food order afterwards. After a 15 minute wait, we were served the wrong drink, when I mentioned it to the server, he seemed a little ticked off, even though swiftly afterwards they were given to the table two times away from us. After another 10 minutes our drinks were finally served, but this time by a runner. At this point we were starving and dying to order our food, but were told we couldn’t order from him and he would send his colleague. After another 10 minutes I decided we would go somewhere else so I went inside to pay, instead of trying to get the clearly, too much weight on their shoulders, serving staff. I was told I had to wait for my original server to pay. Alas, another 5-10 minutes until we could pay for 1 drink each over the course of a little over an hour.

My poor review is not reflective of the wait staff, but of the management not preparing for a full restaurant and having a sufficient amount of wait staff to cover the full...

Spreefold offers a wide range of food. However, my friend and I didn't have any luck on picking the tastiest ones on the menu. Please avoid ordering things we had if you decide to come.

The crispy chicken burger was below average. The chicken itself had no flavor at all and reminded me the boil chicken breast days I used to have when doing gym. It tasted horrible but I still finished 2/3 of it just because it costed 15€. You could get a bucket of chicken wings from KFC with that price range.

The thick chips with truffle mayo ( extra 2€ ) was also not okay .... Even the mayo was delicious but its favor still couldn't cover up a deadly flaw, the chip was undercooked. It was still hard in the middle.

My friend ordered a Brisket with carrot. The portion was good but she stopped eating after finished the first piece of meat. The sauce was too sour in our taste. And the sweetness of the sweet potato mesh was covered up.

All together we spent 40€ at a cafe. We know this is not a cheap place to eat and there are better options out there. But we still ordered the food as we thought we would get the quality for what we have paid. (A nice Angus burger with chips in Mitte is around 8-13€)

I understand this cafe runs until 24 and it is nice decorated. And all of these factors have counted into the price. But again, I expect a lot more in terms of...

I do like to come here quite often for a break from shopping. It is a big space, with 2 levels so is quite rare that one can't find a sit. The staff is always welcoming even if not always attentive to certain details, such as a wet or dirty table. I like it though for the good food that it has, as they have a quite big amount of options, from breakfast until dinner, but also the drinks because they always taste fresh and go hand in hand with the food. Throught time I have been enjoying the English breakfast with bacon, sausages, beans and eggs, but the burgers, salads are also tasty. The newest dish tried is the schnitzel filled with butter over mashed potatoes and grilled carrots and it was quite tasty. Is a chill place, for all people that want to meet friends or want to study or just want a break from shopping thru Kudamm. It has amazing views of the area, on the 2nd floor.
