I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant, it is below average for Korean food in Berlin in every way. Firstly, the taste of the food was terrible The octopus(o jing) was frozen semi-finished food(like artificial food), it was too hard to eat. (None of the other Korean restaurants used this octopus); The seafood soup tasted really bad and there was almost no seafood in it, the soup tasted very weird. The seafood-flavored Shin ramen tastes even better than it. Secondly, overprice. Higher priced food should be fresher and tastier. But their food was not. Thirdly, some food on the menu is not available. Fourth, their kimchi(pickled radish and cucumber) tastes weird too. All in all, one of the worst Korean food I've ever had, very...
Read moreSoban is a very lovely Korean restaurant in the heart of Ku’damm. They’re closed on mondays and tuesdays and they’ll be opening around 18 during the week and in the afternoon at the weekends. You will find all the traditional dishes: from tteokbokki to bulgogi, jjinmandu to kimchi jjigae. I tried their Bulgogi Bibimbap, which was so delicious with the gochujang paste served on the side so you can decide how spicy you want to enjoy your bibimbap. The place is super warm, tables available for 2 to huge groups. Service was very friendly and I had nothing to complain about. Definitely a good Korean restaurant to visit if you’re up for some Nokcha ice cream following...
Read moreWe visited on a Friday evening and left a bit disappointed. The place has a cute vibe and wasn’t too busy, but it seemed quite understaffed. The panchan was underwhelming, kimchi tasted overly sour and a bit old, and the mussels in the seafood noodles still had bits of shell in them. The fried chicken was soggy rather than crispy. We also tried the beef bibimbap and seafood noodles, but both were just average. There was only one staff member working the floor, so service was understandably slow, and they looked run off their feet. While the prices were reasonable, we’ve had better Korean food at similar price...
