** edit at the end of this text, due to another customer feeling it's ok to criticise me here.
40 min ago I had a bad experience with them. I ordered one of their signature bowls, and it was inedible. The experience after was unpleasant as well. After realising I can’t keep eating that food because of its awful taste, I walked back to the restaurant with my 90% full bowl, and told them I can’t eat it. They didn’t seem too interested in understanding why or anything, so I furthered pointed on one of the ingredients in my bowl and asked what it is. They replied its some kind of seasoned pumpkin, and I said “well it is really inedible”. One of them replied “ok, that seems fair”.
I left the plate on the counter, and started to walk away. I thought to myself “ok, they don’t owe me anything for me not liking the food, I’ll just never eat there again”. But then one of them calls me back and asks me to move my bowl from where I left it because this is where the new food is coming from. That request, under these circumstances, made me feel uncomfortable, to say the least. I swallowed my pride, and moved the plate to where they wanted me. And left.
Now I’m sharing this with Google. I payed 14.25 Euros for that bowl. It was inedible. They’ve accepted the food back and made me feel quite uncomfortable.
**edit: Apparently, another customer witnessed the event of me returning to Beets&Roots with my inedible bowl, and she decided to review my review. so few points: Not cool. While Beets&Roots are asking for review, I am not. I am a private person and it is very not cool to review my review like that. I didn't even see that somebody was criticising my behaviour online because the reviews interface isn't made for that. So this was quite humiliating to find out that my name was trashed online for two weeks without me knowing about it. NOT COOL. google, beets&roots or this other customer should change the review to be ONLY a review for beets&roots and not about me. I did not mean to be aggressive, and I believe I wasn't. I was feeling cheated, humiliated and HUNGRY. The food was inedible so, as this other customer states, I indeed kept on saying "this is inedible". I also didn't slam my bowl on the counter, and I just went to the person who gave me the food and tried to be as nice as possible but was receiving cold vibes back. It is HUMILIATING. How does it make me feel knowing that not only that the stuff wasn't nice to me, they were actually talking to other customers about me....
Read moreThis review is not about the food, it's about the gentleman that left his 1 star review below. I was a witness to his behaviour toward the staff. He was extremely rude, kept repeating "this is in able, what it?" In a very aggressive tone and slammed his bowl on the counter where fresh food is prepared.
The staff at the store were a little perplexed at his behaviour. As he left they even commented on the fact that they would happily have made him a brand new bowl if he hadn't been so aggressive. It is a shame that people can be so rude to a team that is so nice.
I come here for my lunch often, so I can assure the quality is good and if there is anything wrong they always fix it. I will be back for my lunch soon :) Thank you beets...
Read morei do not understand the negative reviews at all. I‘m going there frequently and the food is always really fresh and delicious. They add new bowls to try every other month aswell!! The whole staff but especially that one guy with the beard who works there almost every single day are really friendly and funny!! Since he’s working there the store improved so much. It used to be a little messy sometimes but now everything is so clean! And they even have brownies and cakes now too, with vegan options (which I love!!)🫶🏻
The portions, in my opinion, are really generous as well, so worth the price!
5/5 stars for me, would definitely recommend this place to everyone that looks for a nice place to eat a...
