Sushi Goku — Restaurant in Berlin

I moved next door two years ago. I ate there a lot and I like the food (just their buns are overpriced and ridiculously small).

One has to order online, as they serve online orders first. Waiting outside, even as a repeating customer, can be frustrating as the service girls don’t care about you and are rude and unfriendly. Front staff doesn’t know the food they sell at all.

In around 30 orders, online or in person, they didn’t manage a single time to not add Wasabi (I am allergic), no matter how I said it or how much I insisted. This adds to the staff’s complete ignorance towards customers.

Now it seems to have closed. The tables are still inside but it hasn’t opened for about a month now. Of course: no message, no sign...

Stopped in solo to eat, read, and journal. It’s cash-only (bit inconvenient), but I came back with cash and ordered miso soup, Menu 191 (18 sushi pcs), and a drink — €19.60 total.

The food was fine, but the timing felt off. I ordered before a group of 8 and still waited over 15+ mins while they were being served. Even the two folks next to me, who ordered more, got their food much faster.

Staff was kind, but service pacing just felt a little uneven. Would’ve also appreciated a glass with the cola — small thing, but noticeable.

No hard feelings — just sharing the experience. The other dishes looked great. I’d go again but get take...

It’s a joke sushi bar in the middle of Berlin.

What you can tell from the todays 10 five stars review, they are 100% bought. Trust me.

Service is frustrated and highly unprofessional. Served us soaking wet Glases with washing water in it. The waiter told me they cannot make it with dish wash cause they are to busy (it was only 2 tables served). On my request the waiter was so surprised and brought us foggy Glases after 5 minutes.

Food quality - like somebody already wrote here - supermarket quality and taste.

I feel sick after eating there.
