Viet Bowl — Restaurant in Berlin

DISAPPOINTMENT and DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR A GROUP is how I would describe my experience at Vietbowl after we went there for a team event with 20 members.

Firstly, the fact that one of their staff confirmed over the phone that we could pay by invoice when we booked, only to backtrack and ask us to pay due to their miscommunication is unacceptable. It created unnecessary stress and confusion, which put a damper on the whole evening.

Furthermore, the waiters were extremely unpolite, which made for a very unpleasant dining experience. There was also confusion with the food orders, which meant that we didn't receive the dishes that we had requested. This left us feeling unsatisfied and let down.

To make matters worse, the service was incredibly slow, which meant that we were left waiting for extended periods of time between courses. This was particularly frustrating given that we had a large group, and it's not unreasonable to expect that the restaurant would be able to manage this.

Overall, my experience at Vietbowl was incredibly disappointing, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The miscommunication about payment, unpolite waiters, confusion with food orders, and slow service all contributed to a truly lackluster evening that I would rather forget. I hope that the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to improve their service, as they have a lot of work to do to...

Very bad service, the Waitress was very rude and she didn’t even look at you. The food was below mediocre, tasted like Asian fast food restaurant. I got my food and I sat there waiting for my partner who got her food 15-20 min after mine. When we wanted to pay, it was mandatory to give TIPS!!!!? 7% 10% 15% of the total amount, you HAD to and was forced choose one of the options in order to pay with your card. If it was great food and service why not, but why are you FORCED to give tips? Especially when it was such a bad experience ? Very weird…. And bad restaurant in general.

Only upside is the location and environment it is at. In other words, any other restaurant at their location would have been gold.

First and last time visiting that restaurant.

FYI, I’m from Sweden, so I have no relation to berlin or that restaurant. So why would this be a fake and forced review ? Makes no sense.

Unacceptable for the restaurant to fake and force google to remove this honest review.

It's a nice place with okay food and a nice location, but the service was pretty lackluster in my opinion. We called during the day for a reservation but got told they don't do reservations and that we should just come by. When we came by we were seated at a reserved table (?). We ordered food, one plate without peanuts because of allergies, and that was handled fine initially, but the woman actually bringing the food was very disinterested and didn't tell us which plate was the one without peanuts even when asked, which is pretty careless. Then when we were eating for like 5 minutes we were told that we would be reseated (directly, in the middle of eating) because we were sitting at a reserved spot, with no apologies for the inconvenience. And then the waitress had the audacity to ask how much we were going to tip them before actually typing in the amount to pay. Overall the service seemed very disinterested, and we did not feel welcome at all...
