This is the worst Nasi Goreng I've ever had. It was pale and flavorless, with slipshod knife work - roughly chopped and thrown in. Even I do better when cooking at home. The carrots weren't cooked long enough, leaving them in an unpleasant state between crunchy and soft, which made the overall eating experience even worse. I've been coming here regularly since I saved this place to my Google Maps list in 2020. Sambal Goreng Udang was a dish I ordered every time (Very delicious. I miss it 😢) I hadn't been back since I moved away from Berlin last year, and today I noticed the menu had changed. I thought I'd try the Nasi Goreng, but I didn't expect it to be this disappointing. After browsing through other people's reviews, it seems the owner has also changed. I don’t know if that’s true, but I've already removed this restaurant from my list and won't be coming back.

EN// If you are searching for indonesian food, search elsewhere. They recently switched owners it seems from an Indonesian couple to an Indian man which is why there is now Indian food here. The indonesian food that I loved that was here before is now gone, replaced with food that can not be called indonesian food, not very tasty either. Just like, edible. Service was okay, Indian owner mixed up what I ordered at the time I wanted to pay and wanted me to pay more because of it, but I think it's also because he was alone at that busy time so I can forgive it (I paid the correct amount btw will not pay more for what I got there), still wasn't a pleasant experience. Basically, I will not be coming back. However, if you are searching for affordable food with not much expectations or would like to eat Indian food that is very affordable go ahead. But if the taste is the most important to you look elsewhere. I would also recommend for the restaurant to change the name and not put indonesian food below the restaurant name, if you can't deliver, don't advertise that. Dieses Restaurant hat anscheinend kürzlich den Besitzer gewechselt, von einem indonesischen Paar zu einem Inder, weshalb es hier jetzt indisches Essen gibt. Das indonesische Essen, das ich früher hier geliebt habe, ist jetzt weg und wurde durch Essen ersetzt, das man nicht als indonesisches Essen bezeichnen kann und das auch nicht sehr lecker ist. Einfach nur... essbar. Der Service war naja, der indische Besitzer hat zu dem Zeitpunkt, als ich bezahlen wollte, meine Bestellung verwechselt und wollte, dass ich deswegen mehr bezahle, aber ich denke, das liegt auch daran, dass er zu dieser beschäftigen Zeit allein war, also kann ich es verzeihen (habe natürlich am Ende den richtigen Betrag bezahlt), aber es war trotzdem keine angenehme Erfahrung. Ergo werde ich nicht wiederkommen. Wenn Sie jedoch auf der Suche nach bezahlbarem Essen sind und keine großen Erwartungen haben oder indisches Essen zu sehr erschwinglichen Preisen genießen möchten, dann sollten Sie zuschlagen. Aber wenn Ihnen der Geschmack am wichtigsten ist, schauen Sie sich woanders um. Ich würde dem Restaurant auch empfehlen, den Namen zu ändern und indonesisches Essen nicht unter den Restaurant zu setzen. Wenn Sie es nicht kochen können, lassen Sie es einfach sein. Bitte.

All the food was surprisingly bland. Not sure why this place got good reviews. Yes it’s cheaper than typical restaurant but seriously I’d rather pay more for a delicious meal rather than pay less but lesser quality. I ordered: - Nasi Goreng Chicken - totally bland. Portion wise was large but who wants to eat plenty yet bland food? - Udang Sambal with Rice - This is like the saddest sambal I’ve ever tasted. I dont even know why they called it sambal/chilli. You can find even better bottled sambal than this one. Sorry, but please please improve the taste cause there were none at all. So disappointed.

Love this wee eatery! I am a fan of Indonesian food and while there is room this place has a very decent quality and a price you cannot argue with. I have been a couple of times and have not been disappointed- also not by the effort to being seated even if it appears completely booked! The Food is tasty, fresh and the owners are delightfully friendly and welcome. I especially love sitting outside in the summer or using the wee wooden shack when it gets more chilly... try the rendang, the mixed plates and gado gado to get a good introduction!

Highly recommend this place when visiting Berlin. A literal hole in the wall on the first floor of a complex, it utilizes as much space as possible for seating, using tents outside in the lot! I'd on food and ambience, as they are the biggest parts of the experience. We got the Bebek Curry and Nasi Goreng Bebek, which were both delicious! Great serving portions, affordable pricing. The fried rice in the Nasi Goreng was seasoned and cooked very well, and the duck meat in both were flavorful with crispy skin!

i grew up and lived in Indonesia for 15 years, so here's my review: Positives: the Price are CHEAP (5-7€/Plate) Negatives: the Taste are also CHEAP 🙁 Do not expect delicious food here! I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone! If you happen to visit Hamburg, compare this place with Restaurant Jawa in Wendentrasse, HH and find the truth behind my words . honestly, i feel sorry for all these 4-5 star reviews from all these "BULE" who in my opnion, never tasted real delicious indonesian food 😂
