Sushi Miyabi — Restaurant in Berlin

I'm sushi freak that I know which a good sushi or not. This restaurant offers many kind of different sushi. The taste of the sushi is good, that standart taste for sushi is nice that you buy is supermarket. But the price is a bit expensive and the ambience of the restaurant is not japanese, but more like chinese. Overal we still can enjoy real sushi such as sashimi and maki with wasabi and ginger.

Input: they should try to change the music style because it's not comfortable to sot there eating sushi with electronic music. And the atmosphere there js not like japanese, I would say it's like chinese (should put some japanese touch to make better ambience and maybe japanese music). This restaurant should give the staff better training because they are so clumsy and sometimes give really bad service.

Disadvantage: in the rush hour, the staff seems so hectic, they should've warned the costumer how long should we wait to get out food. I was there with my husband wait for 1 hour for 'to go', I would say it was unpleasant experience because the staff didn't warn us, I could just go outside to do something instead waiting and get bored, then back to the restaurant again to get our food. The staff have done mistakes for 3x when I bought sushi there for several times. First, they gave us less sushi but we call them when we got home and they gave us the additional for the next buying. Second, sometimes they are not really friendly and the service are bad, for example they don't inform us about the waiting time to wait for 1 hour, I was really dissapointed bout it. Third, when we paid the sushi, the staff gave us less change, it's a fatal mistake. When we complain about it and argue with her, finally she gave us the correct change but didn't...

Today was the second time I’ve been at this restaurant. The first time, 1 year ago it was actually not bad and the prices were nice, but still all in all around 4 stars. But today... oh I regret that I went there. Okay, it is a „Sushi Restaurant“, but they are Vietnamese, so typically you can get every other type of Asian cuisine. So yeah I was in the mood of a soup, the „Pho Ga“ (rice noodle soup with chicken)... for 7,50€, normal price. The waitress was very pissed and not even „fake-friendly“ as Asian waitresses normally should be.

My friend ordered a simple Latte Macchiato. (3,50€) Okay, before I say something, just look at my pictures. So you get coffee with milk and 50% foam with a tried little artwork. I wasn’t okay with that so I asked for more coffee or milk, she took it and looked very bitchy... that was indeed the last time that we saw her. But yeah, it’s not authentic Vietnamese if you don’t feel emotionally and physically abused when leaving right? A man came back with a itty bitty of 10ml more coffee and said something like „Here, double shot“ in a sarcastic tone. After that I got my soup. It looked okay, the bowl is not very practical tho, I spilled everything while I tried to stir it... To be honest, o.k. it’s a „Sushi Restaurant“, but... why offer something that you can’t sell?? For 7,50€ I can get waaaaaay better pho tho.. I don’t know if you can see, but the chicken was so bad.. I don’t even know if it was real chicken, it didn’t even taste like it. Please never order it there! The sushi is okay, for people who don’t have a clue or high standards. The 1+1 offer is nice as well.

Still, I would never go there again, not even...

This place saves me from cooking almost every week. We are regular customers and we LOVE our sushi Sunday that is possible thanks to Sushi Miyabi. My ultimate favorites are definitely Philadelphia Avocado Inside Out and Dragon Roll, but I actually also really love their deep fried ones! And this is a lot to say as I have never been a big fan of the warm sushi rolls. The prices are very good, as you are getting a great deal of 1+1 sushi rolls. The fish itself is always very fresh and for more than of 2 years of ordering from this place on the weekly basis I have never had any issue with the quality. The rolls themselves are also pretty big in size.

Definitely recommend if you need a sushi overload...
