Tra Di Noi — Restaurant in Berlin

Busy due to the Berlin marathon but inattentive and chaotic service. No one even acknowledged us after having been seated for 30 mins.

Waiter took the drinks order after we got his attention but couldn’t wait to leave and only got 2/4 drinks. Had to call him back.

Ordered food. First three servers with food that came back didn’t have our food but someone else’s. When food did arrive they brought extra appetizer we didn’t order. Soup and carpaccio were fine. No spoons for the soup. Had to call the waiter back after struggling to get their attention.

Four pasta dishes arrived. Put in the table. All cold. Honestly, pointless complaining. We’d have been there another hour. Supposed to have steak in the pasta sauce. Basically three little pieces of what looked like dog food.

Eventually got the waiters attention again, paid the bill (which incorrectly charged us for the extra appetizer) and left.

I could hear the table behind us that they’d had no one come by the table to even acknowledge them 30 mins after being seated so it wasn’t just us. Table to the side also looked upset that they were just left sitting there.

I get places can be stretched when busy but there was no attempt to show that awareness and perhaps acknowledge us or that there may have been a wait. I’d have been ok with that. And, perhaps, food actually being warm.

We decided to have a dinner at this place as it was very close to my hotel where I was staying. But clearly it wasn’t a great idea. I found a fabric/thread kind of disgusting material in my Aglio e olio pasta, just after first few bites. We gave it very politely back to the kitchen for changing and the person we gave back apologised. This was good but there was one of the other guy server who was so full of attitude. He looked at that I don’t have any plate, he asked me what happened. I told him we found something in our food and gave it back in the kitchen for changing, he said very rudely -“then what do u want now? Do u want the same dish or some another?” Without any apology. Oh god my experience got so bad, after this. But the other guy who we returned our dish too, came back with Tiramisu on the house for us as an apology which was really sweet. But i think attitude of some of the staffs are not too great. I don’t appreciate this man coming to my table asking me rudely what do i want in return now!! I felt like leaving the table then and there.. This bad review is not for that something was found in my food its for that man who was full...

The pizza was nice in flavour, as was the pasta that my mum had. But it was all served on cold plates so it went cold really quick. Bread was brought while we looked at the menu but no plate/dish was provided for the oil and balsamic (both of which bottles were very sticky and were in need of a clean). The restaurant is marked as ££, but the majority of the dishes were more than ££ in my opinion.

The wine is incredibly expensive - cheapest glass was more than double what we'd paid everywhere else (€9.50 for 0.2l). The water was equally as expensive.

The grounds of the restaurant wasn't particularly well kept so looking out the window didn't provide nice views.
