We stayed at the Holiday Inn at Prenzlauer Berg (fantastic experience, location & breakfast!) and were feeling desperate on a cold quiet Sunday to find a lovely dinner within easy walking distance that could accommodate 2 young kids, 2 grandmothers, and ourselves. The front desk recommended Trattoria Zoe as a place where locals go and called on our behalf... The restaurant was welcoming, warm and cozy! The food was terrific and well priced (as was the wine!) and the staff were very kind to a bunch of jet lagged Americans infringing on their quiet. We had the gnocchi (incredible!), scampi, pizza & risotto plus bruschetta. Everything had wonderful, surprising flavors and the restaurant accommodated a request for buttered noodles for a tired child. We had such a special night at Trattoria Zoe, danke...
Read moreWe’ve been there with discoeat and we suddenly felt treated like second class customer due to the discount, but that’s ok, I wouldn’t really mind if the quality of food was ok. Fact is that. As a starter we got some bread (really flat, and without salt almost) with some lentils salat, def unusual for an italian place. I ordered linguine mit scampi in hummer sauce. The sauce was basically cream and butter (lots a cream) , maybe a bit of industrial fish broth and some frozen scampi there and there. My friend order tagliatelle with rinderfilet and it wasn’t better. If you’re looking for a real Italian experience don’t go there:-) I put 2 star cause luckily we ate with discount otherwise it would had been 1, sorry, that’s...

No twist, and you can do the same pasta at home with minimal cooking skills. Asparagus soup was ok. Service: no smiles, main dish was brought before I finished the starter and just “threw” it on the table. The soup was brought by a barmen (who was a really nice guy) but he forgot the bread (being a barmen...). This probably started when they understood we are not ordering wine. The space designed great though, and is good for spending a wine evening with friends. The starters options are also good. Bottom line: not coming back for food and really really disappointed by the service. This is not an...
