I visited Benedict Berlin for my birthday lunch on July 25th together with two friends, and I am writing this review a little later. I had planned it for us as we had heard so many good things about the place. We arrived without a reservation and were kindly seated at the table near the entrance. From the very beginning our waiter was so welcoming and friendly. When I mentioned how much I loved the cinnamon jam he even brought us an extra, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The pancakes were truly amazing and even my friend, who is a chef, said they were excellent. We waited about 25–30 minutes for our food, but that was not a problem at all. Unfortunately, the experience changed once our food arrived. While we had just started eating the assistant store manager (I believe she was Spanish, wearing glasses) came to our table and told us we had to move to another table because the bar would be installed. This felt very unprofessional. We had to carry our own plates to a small corner table next to some inappropriate items, which definitely affected our experience. The installation could easily have waited another 30 minutes until we finished our meal, or we could have been moved earlier while waiting for our food. To interrupt us in the middle of eating on my birthday felt unnecessary and rude. In fact, after we moved, the bar was just left standing there. I mentioned this to our new waitress, who was apologetic and told us she would address it with the assistant manager. Because of this unpleasant interruption, we skipped coffee and went elsewhere afterwards. I am leaving this review as valuable feedback. We are three people who all work in the luxury hospitality industry and one of us is a chef. We truly appreciate great food and service and while the food and our waiters were wonderful, the handling by the assistant manager left a negative impression. Hopefully, the management team will take this into account, because Benedict has amazing food and kind staff that deserve better representation. To the assistant manager: thank you for making me feel bad on my birthday.

3/5 stars. Too hyped for the quality of food you’re given and the wait time. I would prefer to make Eggs Benedict at home and wouldn’t need to wait 40 min to be seated and 15-20 min to be served. The bright side: Service was kind, respectful and helped even choose and gave recommendations on plates. They offered to take the bread home, as we didn’t finish it (4 huge pieces of bread for only 3 people). The dull side: For a place called Benedict, you would expect the Eggs Benedict to be their specialty. 2 out of 3 plates had completely cooked poached eggs, on a 6cm slide of plain white bread. For the classic Benedict, almost no Béchamel sauce, it was super dry, and the fact that they don’t use English muffins but plain white bread, kills the entire plate. The bread was also difficult to cut, slightly chewy. Also, served with a side salad with only lettuce and seeds with a bit of balsamic oil, makes it a plate that definitely puts off the mood for brunch on a nice Saturday. Only good thing was bacon and ham, well cooked. Finally the price. We payed on average 20 euros per each plate of Eggs Benedict, with juices of ~6 euros, a bill of 80 euros for 3 people. Definitely for the quality and quantity, not the best place for the value given. I think much can be done to improve the quality of the main dish, but once that is fixed, this is the last time we’ll be going to Benedict. Hope they get better, because they have a nice place in a great location, with good staff, but definitely not the quality you expect from a Hyped brunch place in Berlin.

My love of breakfast started a long time ago, way before I knew the term brunch, or perhaps even before the term was coined. So I was very pleased when I heard Benedict opened on my side of town. We came early with no reservation, bold move as I recall having to line up for quite a while for their west side location a few years back. We were however seated swiftly. The menu is big, with more choice then one could possibly need. To make our way through it we’re given a basket of warm rolls. Delicious but this greatly affected the space we had for the main attraction. I sadly had to them pass on the Philly sandwich and opted for the shashuka with fetta. Eggs were soft, and the tomato tangy. Huge serving which is the theme of the menu. Little humans chose eggs Benedict, the hollandaise was good, eggs soft, bacon crispy all served on huge fluffy toast. I am prefer muffins, feels like a better ratio in my book, but the LO devoured it all with joy. The mini human order pancakes we opted for mini blueberry and a delicious but in my book a huge tower arrived. We have never seen pancakes this fluffy. The hubby had an English breakfast and each part was executed to perfection. Although we rolled out of there we don’t regret ordering a side of the jalapeño balls, brilliant spicy fluffy little gems. The service was a stand out, friendly warm and efficient. I also adored the interior much lighter and warmer then it’s west counterpart. A must for any brunch/breakfast lover!

Brunch aficionados, take note! This place has become my personal haven for leisurely brunches, whether I'm catching up with friends, enjoying some solo time, or treating my family to a special morning out. It's an experience that never fails to leave me with a contented smile and a happy belly.

Now, let's talk about the stars of the show: the food. The egg benedicts here are nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Each bite is a harmonious symphony of perfectly poached eggs, velvety hollandaise sauce, and your choice of delectable toppings. I've tried them all, and I can confidently say they've perfected the art of eggs benedict. My taste buds do a happy dance with every bite.

And then there's the English breakfast – a hearty, soul-warming plate that's a symphony of flavors and textures. From the sizzling bacon to the savory sausages and the perfectly cooked eggs, it's a breakfast lover's dream come true. Pair it with a steaming cup of freshly brewed coffee, and you've got yourself a match made in brunch heaven.

The fresh orange juice is, without a doubt, a pure delight. It's not just juice; it's a burst of sunshine in a glass. Sipping on it feels like a rejuvenating morning breeze, and it's the perfect way to kickstart your day.

But it's not just about the food and drink; it's the entire ambiance that makes this place a gem. The cozy yet vibrant atmosphere is always welcoming. The staff here are not just servers; they're storytellers of flavors, ready to guide you through a culinary journey. Their warm and friendly demeanor adds an extra layer of charm to the experience.

In conclusion, this place has become my brunch sanctuary. Whether you're a brunch connoisseur or just someone looking for a delightful morning meal, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this place a visit. The egg benedicts, English breakfast, and fresh orange juice are just the beginning of the flavorful adventure that awaits. Trust me, it's a brunch experience you won't...
