I visited Zsazsa burger 17th December around 6pm. We had lamb burger and beef classic burger. Food was amazing, beer was amazing and the staffs were friendly and kind.
But the thing happened after that. I came home after getting the coat back and realised that I got a wrong coat. I contacted the restaurant, thankfully they noticed the situation and said there's a lady who got my coat and she left her phone number.
When I contacted Zsazsa burger, they were helping me to contact this lady, calling her 5 times a day. But she was not answering the phone whole day.
I'm a traveler in Berlin, not a resident. In the week that I visited Berlin was minus 10 degrees, I had to leave there after 2 days and move to travel to another city. I had a long, warm and new one before, only had that coat for my 1 month trip. And what I got was thin, didn't have any buttons which is not good for traveling another 2 weeks.
I had to get my coat back as soon as possible, so the restaurant gave me her number and I tried to call her. She didn't answer my call. But she checked the message I sent. I sent several messages whole day and at last she said. 'I don't know what you are talking about. I don't have any coat that you are mentioning. And I'm not Shina that you are saying'.
It was weird. How could someone leave themselves phone number wrong? hmm.. maybe someone just made a mistake. So I waited another one week. Because I didn't want to hang in the problem as I was traveling. And if someone made a mistake on her own phone number, she could come back to the restaurant and leave a coat. As I left my reliable contact in the restaurant. And left the coat in my freind's house who lives in Berlin.
10 days passed. No more update from the restaurant. I guess I have to say this is THEFT. I cannot believe what happened to me.
I leave my google review to 'Shina', who left her wrong phone number or lying about that she doesn't know anything about it. "You had enough time to get it back. Me and restaurant was trying to contact you enough. And you cannot make someone's day like that."
And for the people who is looking for how is ZsaZsa burger, I would say even I have a bad experience here, I can come back to have burger because everything was great here. But just in case, watch out for Shina who is gonna steal your coat and...
Read moreStay away if you have food intolerance. They give conflicting answers about gluten and milk in their food, and they ended up serving what they had promised not to do.
One drink was listed on the menu with four ingredients: three fruit juices and 'Kokossahne' (Coconut milk). I carefully asked if it contained any milk products. The waiter said 'no'. When served, I could taste and smell the milk, and the froth looked milky too. Another waiter told me it does contain actual cream. He thought the menu had listed this -- as if 'coconut cream' means dairy cream! (The drink was also slightly pricey, the juices were'nt freshly-pressed, but rather sweet and artificial).
Ordering took a long time because the waiter didn't know what burgers contained wheat flour. In the end, another waiter told me that all burger patties contained wheat flour as a binder. (Putting flour in the patty is not a sign of high quality, by the way). So I ordered the only gluten-free option, a chicken burger without the bun, and without coleslaw (because he told me it contained milk). When served, they had put coleslaw on my dish anyway, and onion rings with wheat flour.
I then asked them to take it out, but was persuaded to order french fries instead. Unfortunately; I got a reaction afterwards, so I suspect the french fries were dipped in flour.
I don't expect any extra treatment at all, but just that they are able to tell what kind of ingredients they use! A smiling waiter can, unfortunately, never outweigh such a breech of basic food safety.
Judging on the menu and my friend's meal, I don't think the burger meals looked extravagant at all. The patty was thick and badly shaped, the bun too, and it is served dry (no sauce or dressing in the burger). You are expected to add ketchup or mayonnaise yourself.
The prices were slightly above average.
I don't understand why people give 4.5 stars, even if they are 'normal' and have no food intolerances. I think people are easily impressed by burger joints because it's popular food.

Read moreIt’s right on the corner of the building, so a little hard to see. You will be happy you find it! Eclectic fun decor welcomes you inside. Warm wood and art gives the feeling on a comfy family home.
The staff are attentive and kind. I’d recommend a reservation to get a window seat! Even on a cold Sunday day evening in early March it was lively and busy. Before 8pm nearly every table was busy.
Interestingly for a place in the middle of the “gay district” a mixed crowd with families and couples, so don’t worry about its location. The wait staff has smiles for everyone!
The extensive menu can be a bit daunting, but first order a signature mock tail or cocktail and relax. There no pressure to hurry up.
The food arrived and I thought “WOW, can I eat all this?” The value for price seemed fair. Two people with smaller appetites could share.
The Tokyo Chicken “burger” was excellent. It reminded me of an “Aloha Burger “ back in Waikiki. Sweet pineapple, sliced chicken breast smothered in cheese. I’d suggest Swiss for the original flavor but I am sure the cheddar does it justice.
The Bronx burger was piled so high my husband said “I’ll need a knife and fork to eat this,” and it did. The medium cooked beef patty was most and flavorful.
The Cole slaw was a cool sweet counter to the spicy curry mayo. The fries were done perfectly. Crisp on the outside and hot well cooked centers.
We could not resist the in house made desserts and they did not disappoint! Warm cheesecake fresh from being made, dark chocolate brownie deliciousness, I am sure all of them are equally good.
Highly...
