El Tarascon — Restaurant in Bonn

If you like to get to a Steak House from time to time, you may often find yourself at a franchise place. May be good, but can be kind of boring, isn‘t it? So perhaps you look for a private steak expert when you consult Google Maps. That‘s what I did in Bonn tonight and I found the El Tarascon close to the Botanical Garden. As it is a souterrain restaurant, you have to look carefully for the entrance. But once you are down there and have ordered, you will get straight and very good quality at reasonable prices offered by a young, friendly and courteous team. Even at posh places your wish for a „medium“ piece of meat can lead to disappointing results. Not in here: My entrecote (300 gr) tonight came absolutely perfectly grilled. Quaint basement grill house with excellent food. Gazpacho appetizer was cool and refreshing with vibrant tomato taste, the slight crunch of the cucumber garnish was a great touch. Steak was cooked perfectly, and the accoutrements were top-notch as well. Glass of Malbec wine was complex and rich, pairing perfectly with the steak.

Wonderful bar and open grill really added to the cozy vibe. A bit cramped with no outdoor seating. It's a basement with winding staircases, so low-mobility diners should look elsewhere.

Service was attentive and friendly. English menu was available. Reservation recommended, as the place was mostly full at 19:30. Gazpacho was fairly priced, but wine glass and the steak dinner were a bit expensive. Worth it for a splurge meal.

Highly recommend this steakhouse! Take a walk around the gorgeous Bonn Botanical Garden to work up an appetite. Bus stop to Bonn HBF is right...

Das Fleisch ist einmalig, Super Qualität, super Service, Super Preise. Für mich ist eine meine Lieblinge Restaurant in Bonn. Ich bin selber Argentinierin und weiß dieses Fleisch sehr zu schätzen !!!! Das Fleisch kommt von Argentinien und wird durch "la estancia" (Großhandelunternehmen für Argentinische Produkte) gekauft, nicht wie beim Maredo, wo das Fleisch auch wahrscheinlich auch aus Brasilien kommt.

Alles war sehr Lecker. Abend ist es etwas teuerer, jedoch bin ich mir sicher, das es sich lohnt für dieses Fleisch diesen Preis zu bezahlen !!!!

Wir hatten erst die Getränke bestellt, dann das Fleisch, als Wartezeittöter kamm warmes Brot und rotes Chimichurri und Sauerrahm in 2 Schälchen, was für 2 Personen gereicht hat, wenn man reichlich im Brot gestrichen hat, nicht wie beim andere Restaurants wo es nicht für alle Brote reicht.

Als Mittagsmenü für Ursprünglich 12, 90 € + 1,50 € Chorizoaufpreis (siehe Unten) hatten wir:

-Gemüsesuppe (ausgetauscht durch ein Chorizo für 1,50 € Aufpreis) Kleine Gemischte Salat mit SEHR SEHR leckerem Dressing Ein Rumpsteak 160 gm medium eine Offenkartofeln mit Kräuterbutter und ein Cappuccino , welche man wegen eine Kugel Eis austauschen kann, der Kaffee ist aber sehr Lecker .

Alles war frisch und ordentlich gekocht, das Fleisch war in den Punkt genau gekocht, (ich kenne mich damit aus, habe in anderen Steakhouses gearbeitet)

Die Bedienung war freundlich, Kompetent und Respektvoll, der Chef selber arbeitet in der Parrilla (Grill).

Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gut, man sieht typisch argentinische Sachen (Maradona, Fangio, Quilmes, boleadoras etc. ) .Die Mitarbeiter und die Lieferanten sprechen alle Spanisch , was eine gewöhnte Atmosphäre für ein Argentinier bildet. Auch der Geruch ist schön.

Der Preis ist in Vergleich mit Pizzas oder Pasta bei gewöhnliche Restaurants sehr günstig, und wenn man bedenkt, das das Fleisch ne lange weg vor sich haben, das der Kochzeit und Sorgfalt bei Fleisch anders ist als bei Pizza, und das noch eine kleine Brotvorspeise, was woanders, z.b im Spanier bezahlt werden muss + 2 Beilagen + Vorspeise + Kaffee und das wesentlich gesünder ist ( für Fleischfresser da viele Proteine), kann man echt sich nicht über die Preis Beschwerden.

Ich werde auf jeden fall noch mal kommen. Bisher der beste Steakhouse in Bonn.
