EDEKA Steilen — Local services in Bonn

Very well-stocked and complete supermarket!

For those of us from the USA, it's thrilling based on incomprehensible to find a DOCG Chianti Classico for only $3.99. (actually €3.99, but with the dollar being at .96 Euro lately - who's counting?)

Amazed at the selection as well as the prices. There's a LOT to see here in a relatively small space.

FIRST time in my life in one shop in Germany I didn't pay exact amount! My bill was 18,02€ and I payed it 18€!!! I offered 50€ and 20cents to regulate my bill and a woman turned me back those 20cents and gave me 32€ rest! Still can't believe it! Seems that EDEKA understood that 1 and 2 cent coins are...

Sehr enger, vollgepackter Lebensmittel Laden. Es gibt eine Frischetheke für Wurst/Käse, sowie eine für Bäckerwaren. Beide Bereiche schließen vor Ladenschluss (20:30?). Es gibt frisches Gemüse und Obst. Aber keine frischen Fertigspeisen.

Die Beschilderung der Pfandabgabe ist etwas besser geworden, es bleibt aber umständlich (Einweg am Ladeneingang via Automat, Mehrweg am anderen Ende des Ladens wird händisch übernommen und gezählt..wenn dafür die Mitarbeiter gerade Zeit haben..).

Bei den Mitarbeitern muss man etwas Glück haben an wen man gerät und wie hoch das allgemeine Stresslevel gerade liegt. In Summe bin ich noch in keinem Laden so oft unfreundlich von Personal behandelt worden.

Einkaufen macht ob der engen Gänge keinen Spaß, sobald sich mehr als 5 Kunden im Laden aufhalten, dafür ist die Lage (für mich)...
