Il Melo — Restaurant in Bonn

We had a very disappointing experience at this café. When we arrived, there were many empty tables, yet we were told that all of them were "reserved." It was clear from the setting and lack of reservation signs that this was not the case.

What made this especially upsetting was that other guests were being seated without any issue. We couldn’t help but feel that we were turned away either because of our appearance — which was neat and appropriate, though not flashy — or because we were speaking Russian. This kind of selective treatment felt discriminatory and unwelcoming.

In a city that prides itself on hospitality and diversity, this kind of behavior is unacceptable. We hope the management reflects on this incident and ensures all guests are treated with respect...

You know the feeling, when you have been in several restaurants in your life, simple, sophisticated, expensive, cheap and you find a restaurant you want to go again and again?? Well, il Melo is one of these restaurants that you want to come regularly. The nice man and the nice lady give you the sense that they will take care of you. And they do. I have been here for the second time and the carbonara is extraordinarily tasteful. It is really nice. And a few other dishes I have tried live up to the expectations. The food is really GOOD. Service is both effective and polite. Prices are logical. Very few nice places like this...

Very lovely place. Great and super friendly service. We were there at a busy Friday evening and food took a bit, but we got some antipasti on the house while we waited. The food itself was delicious and very authentic, very Italian, although they don't have pizza on the menu. Prices are not the cheapest but affordable and adequate for the quality of the food. Mega yummy desserts. And free Grappa or Espresso in the end. If you have something to celebrate, definitely a great place to spoil yourself a bit. Thank you to team...
