ALEX Bremen Domshof — Restaurant in Bremen

I am often a guest at the Alex bars in Hamburg, but unfortunately I do not recommend this location in Bremen. Wonderful location, but unfortunately unkind waitress. I was there for the first time this month. We were served by a waiter who was great. But after we paid the bill, the young waitress's relationship with blonde hair tangled in ponytails was so insolent towards me that even the guests at the next table turned to the waitress. The reason was that I fed the pigeons, which was forbidden there. We all make mistakes, for which I apologise. But I do not wish any guest to hear the way the waitress expressed herself. When I was putting the food for birds in my backpack, I took out a bottle of water to make room for the food. In the same way as for feeding the birds, this time the waitress told me that I could not drink from the bottle of water that was not bought from them. I did not even have time to drink from the...

Very friendly staff and good sfeer. Food was simpel but good for me (quick lunch schnitzel with fries).

Only if you ask for mayonaise they give them in really really small pre packed packages. I would have liked to see it in a small bowl or something.

The restaurant was also very understaffed. We had to wait 40 minutes before the waitress came to ask us for a drink which we find unacceptable. After that they gave our drinks after 10 minutes and forgot our glasses and had to remind them 3 times. Once ordering it was really hard to understand what the waitress was asking what we wanted for our dishes as a non german speaker while you expect at least them to know the words for "meat" "kalf" and "pig".

After eating we wanted to pay pin but it kept not working and i had to pay cash at the end.

Not a place we will be returning anytime soon if we visit...

I was looking forward to trying this place with my nephew because his name is also Alex. However, it was an extremely dissapointing experience. The food was mediocre but the service was the worst part of the experience. I tried to order an Apphelshorle for my nephew 3 times from the waiter but he kept ignoring us, then finally a nice waitress brought it to us. Then the waiter had the audacity to try to charge us for two more to make a point when we waited 20 minutes for him to give us any service. He did charge us for 4 drinks when we only had 2 and the food was extremely overpriced again for the mediocre quality and quantity. Then we asked for a box for my nephew's food and the box never came so we just gave up. Honestly, one of the worst restaurant experiences in Germany so far. Avoid this place...
