After having wonderful experience at Bollywood Chilli, I decided to try India House. But I didn't it like it as much, although I ordered some of the same dishes to draw comparative analysis. Here is what I ordered : 1) papad 2) plain Naan - this was so unlike naan. Thought they presented it beautifully but in terms of taste, feel, texture, chewiness, it stood nowhere close to what a traditional naan tastes like. Bollywood Chilli did much better job. 3) paratha - this was good, in terms of oiliness, color and taste, and they presented it well too, would love to reorder this :) 4) bhatura - disappointing! It taken my mood off. Nowhere close to what for instance, 'Bombay restaurant' in Frankfurt serves. Meaning, it was absolutely failed copy of authentic bhatoora. 5) rice 6) dal tadka - the quantity was so very less. It couldn't last even for a single meal. It was less than half of what 'bollywood chilli' served. And they had mixed two or more lentils to prepare dal tadka which was a real spoiler. 7) chapati Wouldn't want to retry because I think I ordered variety of things to experience the feel and become decisive about my future orders.

We went here on a busy day. The staff wasn't sufficient to handle all the customers. We had a long wait for our food. The food was not good. We ordered mango lassi, which was good. Pakoda was alright. But our main course wasn't up to the mark. The Channa masala had whole coriander seeds in it, where as the Batura was too thick that it neither tasted nor felt like a batura. Definitely not recommend if a remotely authentic Indian food experience is expected.

PLEASE NEVER EVER VISIT THIS PLACE AS OWNER IS SO RUDE AND FOOD QUALITY WAS WORST... I wish i could have given less than this star.. Food quality was not upto the mark and the owner was such a rude person that I told him that chicken masala has more veggies than chicken and gravy and he responded that we are making our dish like that from last 18 years and we will do like that only.. Its not about changing your receipe or dish but just to acknowledge the feedback from customer and say we will try to make it better or we will work on it.. I request please never visit this place where owner has such attitude towards the customer.

Thank you for your feedback on review and also for the suggestion that I should never visit this restaurant again and it doesn't matter to me whether you are running restaurants from 18 years or 180 years.. I don't care.. I was asking for gravy 3 - 4 times that chicken masala should contain more gravy before placing order.. And I think you said yes it will be.. And you have place that is why you offered a place to seat otherwise from your behavior I don't think so you are kind enough guy to help others... It is good that you are running from 18 years but with that kind of behavior you won't be able to run for any longer time.. Get well soon with your sick and rude mentality to answer like the way you treat us in the...

Murgh curry and mutton vindaloo were the same colour - as a desi this was so confusing and very surprising. These dishes should be very different from eachother but tasted the same, both with a questionable after taste we couldn’t decipher. Poppadum were not fresh. Mango lassi tastes best ice cold but mine was room temp so I requested ice cubes - thank you for these! Pakore tend to be crispy/fried however the fish ones were super soft. The samosa was delicious though. Overall, disappointing food for desi palettes unfortunately. We packed to give to someone less fortunate that we may see on...
