Laures Cafe & Patisserie — Restaurant in Brunswick

We were at this restaurant today, but it didn't leave a positive impression on us. The food was hot (a big plus), but not tasty. My chicken had too much oil, so I didn't finish it. On the plus side, the portions were large. On the minus side: 1. Cash ONLY (what century are we living in, and why doesn't anyone even warn us about this?) 2. We had a very rude waiter who even started making comments about the war in Ukraine. The bakery and bistro is in the heart of the city directly opposite to the Schloss. Has ample seating both outdoor and indoor spread on two floors.

Food- The pastries and milchreis are really delicious and are a treat, though some might find it to be more on the sweeter side.

Service- This is the only place thee place lacks, even on not so busy days the time taken by the waiter to attend to the tables was long. We had to wait for 10 minutes after asking for the bill to pay. The place seems understaffed.

Excellent food across the board. I've eaten here a few times and it never failed to deliver. The turkish cuisine here is on par with stuff in turkey and sometimes even better. Some of the cakes are just incredible. Seating options are great, the place is nicely decorated and the service was great in my personal experience. Although, I have to mention that my friend had a horrible experience with the kunafa. An hour to get a kunafa is unacceptable under any circumstances. 30min...
