BackWerk — Restaurant in Cologne

A really good place to take a bite. The have coffee, tea and all kind of juices fresh or not, sandwiches and deserts, they even have fresh fruits. It's self service so you choose what you want and then pay. The prices are very good and the food was great! Like everywhere in Germany the vegans are well treated, and you have multiple vegan options...

Sehr gepflegt innen wie außen, sehr freundliches Personal. Qualität in der Regel gut und frisch.

Allerdings keine Reaktion auf Kritik. Das Omelette wird neuerdings mit Schinken Scheiben belegt und erhitzt. Dabei wird der Schinkenrand ungenießbar wie ein Nylonfaden. Auf Hinweis wurde gesagt das Problem sei bekannt, wird aber nicht geändert. Stimmt - seit Wochen gibt's Omelette mit Nylonfaden...

Auf den Hinweis, dass verbrannte Ware in der Auslage liegt, bekam ich an der Kasse die Antwort "Hier ist alles frisch." (nachdem das Personal sich vor mir auf türkisch besprach und ich mir erstmal ignoriert vorkam). Nach der Antwort, die ich verstand, kam ich mir allerdings auch so vor, da ich nun zwei Mitarbeitern scheinbar nicht erklären konnte, was gemeint ist. Vielleicht lag es an der Sprachbarriere, aber "angebrannt" ist ja keine Kritik an der frische der Ware. Ich kann Ihnen auch ein frisch geworfenes Ei anbrennen ;) Jedenfalls blieb die verbrannte Ware in der Auslage und der Augenblick war...
