Burger King - Neumarkt — Restaurant in Cologne

I wish I can give 0 stars. I ordered and paid with one of the many machines near the entrance. Then joined the queue of more than 60 numbers waiting before me... my number was not even visible on the waiting screen and it took it 10 minutes to appear at the bottom. This shop is absolutely short-staffed and bad-managed. They let you order and they prepare the food then let it get cold on the rack behind them. They then would start filling the bags for the orders (dine in or take away, all get bags). Then when they have like 20 bags ready with the cold hardened food inside, they release them to the angrily waiting customers. And that's how I got my "fast food" 32 minutes after full payment... Burger was cold as room temperature, bun hard that needs a drink to swallow and the cheese like rubber... you would expect that from a burger that was prepared more than an hour ago... And I can't describe the messy crowded loud environment. I felt like I was begging for the food, that I paid for...

They could turn off some of the ordering machines on extra busy times, and slow down to be able to handle the orders rather than doing this. Or hire some extra staff. The kitchen was smoking all the time, while 3 employees were stack-filling the orders. You can smell burnt oil from the 1st floor up, not to mention the ground floor where the kitchen is... Never go there or recommend it, or you know what, go once to fully understand...

Two strange men at the entrance to the toilet started demanding €1 in cash from me, even though I was a visitor to the establishment and had paid for lunch there. The other day I was there and the truth is that I didn't have a very good experience. I understand that when you are working you can be nice to people and want to give good service, but that and talking too much to the point that you don't give food to people because you are talking, that is something else.
