I will start by saying this was my first experience with Vietnamese food. The menu is small, which is good because it means the restaurant specializes in a few dishes. There is a good mix of rice dishes and soups, some mild and some spicier. Many of the dishes also had tofu as well as various nuts. The restaurant offers both local beers and a few asian beers. The food was quite delicious. The portion sizes were plentiful and well presented. Service was pleasant and quick. All the foods are reasonably priced. There is outdoor and indoor seating but it is limited and bigger parties may have to wait. Outdoor tables are shared amongst patrons - which isn't really my thing hence 4/5 stars there but definitely to be expected with limited seating. Someone near us did smoke which is why i down voted slightly. Overall it was a great experience, delicious food, friendly and prompt service, reasonably priced, and worth checking out.

An unbiased comment: Positives First: (As long as you don't encounter the unfortunate accident I will write about below) it’s a good place to get to know Vietnamese food culture. The food is delicious. Portions are large and extremely filling. The menu is extensive and the place has a warm atmosphere. Let's get to the negatives: Since it is a very small restaurant, you have to sit close to people. There is always a queue at the door and waiting in this queue is tiring. They may give you a little shock in 2024, as only cash payments are accepted. The waiters are very tired; It is normal that they cannot handle this intensity, but inevitably this makes you nervous too. Worst of all, there was a strand of hair at the bottom of our bowl. We are not prissy people and we didn't make a scene. No matter how bad it is, it can happen to you in places like this. But from now on, you should consider wearing a chef's hat or bonnet.

I'm Vietnamese and I can say it is authentic here! I haven't tried all their dishes, but at least for the ones that I did, I can say it's way more authentic than many other "Vietnamese" restaurants in Cologne. I tried Bún xào sả ớt & Kho tộ, which Bún xào sả ớt was extremely delicious 🤤 Kho tộ was kind of salty tho. Their Đậu nành lá dứa (Soy milk with pandan) was sooooooo good, smells great too. I also had Táo quế (apple juice w cinnamon), it was a bit sweet, a bit sour, smells great too. The decoration is simple but authentic, looks like small diners in the countryside in Vietnam. The restaurant is small and not too well ventilated, but the rest is amazing. You should reserve a table if you don't want to stand in the queue forever. And you can only pay with cash. I'm also impressed that the owner is such a young guy (looks like 30 something)!

Food- 5 out of 5 stars. Amazing food but here are the reasons why I’m giving them only 3 stars.

We came an hour after it’s opening and the restaurant is full. Great sign to see and we were willing to wait with only a group of 2 in front of us. We waited for 30 mins outside and in that time, over 15 people, 6 different groups of people came out and we were all super confused as to why we weren’t getting seated. After the group in front kept asking, we finally got through and in.

Once we got in, they sat us with 2 other groups in a communal table…this is covid time…there were other tables free, making all of us feeling super comfortable rubbing elbows to elbows. We kept our masks on because we were that uncomfortably close to the group next to us.

The food was great and came quickly but once we were ready to pay, it took 4 different waves and asks. The server even nodded at us, signaling he sees us asking for help and then went back to the counter to have his drinks and chilled 🧐 20 minutes later, finally able to pay and leave.

Food is 5 but service is a sad 1. Unfortunately, will not be returning and if I do, will only be...

It's a very good vegetarian vietnamese restaurant, always fullof people and if you don't come early enough you have to wait to find a place...or you can make a reservation before to be sure not wait too long. I can really understand why this one is so popular because the food is just wow ! Everything is so delicious!!!! I didn't know that vegetarian food could be so good and that you could eat so much different things. BUT I cannot put 5 stars because I told them I have basil allergy and there was basil in one of my summer-roll and I only undestand it after 2 or 3 bites so it was too late because I ate it. Now I have to take medecine and I am stuck in the toilets with estomac ache...not because of the food freshness which was perfect I guess but because of my allergy to basil. So, just if one of the personnel is reading this review, please make sure 100% that what the client told you had been executed in the kitchen. I hope I will survive the night...and the days afters so that I could go back to this restaurant again and eat and try different food but telling them again and again that I am...

Decided to go to the place based on the reviews and because it had an outdoor seating, but it was anything but good service. It was a pretty hot day and we asked if the table that was empty is available. After waiting for quite some time we were told we can't be seated there, but on another shared table. The 3 of us did not have a problem with that until we say that the offered space could barely fit 2 people and asked for another option. We were told we can only sit inside which we agreed on. After waiting for more than 10 min for someone to take the order, we saw 2 groups that were seated outside leaving and we asked if we can move outside. As soon as we asked this we were yelled at that!!! The waiter said you had the option to sit outside, and you didn't want to so now you can't move tables and then left. After the shock of being yelled at passed, and no one taking the order we decided to leave. I can't comment on the food, but the service is something I've never experienced anywhere else! I definitely will not attempt to go back, or advise...
