Si, Claro - Köln — Restaurant in Cologne

I recently dined at this restaurant with a friend and was surprised to find that they only offer QR codes on the table as menus, with no physical menus available. While QR codes are common, the absence of traditional menus felt bizarre to me.

This approach forces customers to use their phones to access the menu, which is inconvenient if someone's phone doesn't support QR codes or if they forgot their phone at home or if the access to the internet is unavailable or slow. Apart from that, who wants to read through the menu on a tiny screen and constantly scroll down, as compared to a physical menu?

The last thing anyone wants when sitting at a restaurant is to grab their phone, search for the QR code scanner, follow the steps, scroll down, etc.. as opposed to just have a regular menu directly in front of them.

Anyway, the food was enjoyable, although as many other reviewers mentioned, the rice tasted bland, as if it was from a can or frozen. The service was also fast and...

We were returning customers if and when on a city trip to koln. Not so Excellent Mexican restaurant anymore after the renovation, the furniture and interior were "upgraded", the kitchen and menu did not change for the better.

A bit disappointing when we revisited in December 2018, totally disappointing when, and this for the very last time, we went for dinner in december 2019. Food reheated in microwave, dry as well and not tastefull. Spoiler: Absolut enttäuschend, kleine Portionen, die geschmacklich wenig mit mexikanischem Essen zu tun haben!

Wir hatten nicht reserviert, da wir uns spontan entschieden hatten. Einmal angekommen wirkte es ganz nett. Da der Rest alles reserviert war, mussten wir auf total unbequemen Hochstühlen sitzen. Bei der Vorspeise (Nacho Machos) waren wir noch optimistisch. Die Portion war für zwei Personen groß und es schmeckte gut. Bei den Hauptspeisen dann die Enttäuschung... Pavorito: Portion nicht groß aber noch okay, statt der Käsesoße war er nur mit Streukäse überbacken, wenig Gewürz und Geschmack, der Sauerrahm ohne Geschmack und der Salat (im Vergleich ne riesige Portion) mit einem kleinen Schuss Mayo sonst nichts als Dressing. Quesadas: Totale Enttäuschung, Portion sehr klein und platt wie eine Flunder, fast keine Füllung und sehr trocken, sehr schwach gewürzt, 3 Fäden Käse, das Gemüse nicht wirklich vorhanden, Sauerrahm nur bisschen am Rand zur Optik und von der Salsa konnte man nichts erkennen, der Salat rein mit Mayo gemischt, der Reis ist einfach mit TK-Erbsen gemischt und etwas Currypulver, sonst sehr trocken und kein Geschmack. Die Hauptspeisen haben nichts mit mexikanischen Essen zu tun, absolut enttäuschend. Zudem wurde man als "Laufkundschaft" unterschwellig zweitklassig behandelt. Gäste, die reserviert hatten, bekamen ungefragt eine Suppe mit Brot und einer anderen Beilage serviert. Und laut Bedienung ist keine Kartenzahlung möglich, da kaputt.
