Maison Sen — Restaurant in Cologne

I called to make a reservation for me and my 2 friends. It wasn’t a problem, but in the end we still had to wait to be seated. People behind us without a reservation were seated first.

Then we ordered, and our order was taken quite quickly which was nice. However, the Coca Cola wasn’t actual Coca Cola (it tasted like soda stream cola, with no carbonation..yuck), the wontons were very bad - hardly any filling and fried for too long. The main dish was ok, but tasted very plain (and there was no sauce or anything on the table to spice it up).

We discovered that we could not pay by card too late, and were told we can also pay via PayPal - to (I think the owners?) a personal PayPal account which is very strange for a business. If the food wasn’t bad, and the service was better I wouldn’t have mentioned the...

We had the spring roll with chicken, chicken satay and I had fried egg-noodles with crispy duck as my main dish. I liked both the starters. However, my main dish was just okay. The noodles itself didn’t really taste much. Quite plain and bored. The crispy duck was okay. I liked the crispy part which was tasty but there wasn’t sauce for the duck. So just the ordinary flavor of duck. Was okay but after one or two would start to feel a little too dry and flavorless.

Had two lemonades, the first flavor of the lemonade list and the one with passion fruit. They were both good.

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, das vietnamesische Restaurant "Maison Sen" in Köln zu besuchen, und ich bin begeistert von meiner Erfahrung. Die Kombination aus exzellentem Essen, fairen Preisen und herzlicher Bedienung macht dieses Restaurant zu einem echten Juwel.

Das kulinarische Erlebnis bei Maison Sen war schlichtweg fantastisch. Die Speisekarte bietet eine vielfältige Auswahl an vietnamesischen Gerichten, von frischen Frühlingsrollen bis hin zu köstlichen Pho-Suppen. Ich entschied mich für das Pho Bo, eine traditionelle vietnamesische Rindfleischnudelsuppe, und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Die Aromen waren authentisch und delikat, und die Portion war großzügig bemessen. Die Qualität der Zutaten war hervorragend, was das Essen besonders schmackhaft machte.

Was mich ebenfalls beeindruckte, war das faire Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Trotz der hochwertigen Zutaten und des erstklassigen Geschmacks waren die Preise äußerst vernünftig. Man kann sich hier eine köstliche Mahlzeit gönnen, ohne das Portemonnaie zu sehr zu belasten.

Die Servicequalität im Maison Sen verdient ebenfalls Lob. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Sie nahmen sich Zeit, um Empfehlungen auszusprechen und sicherzustellen, dass alle Gäste zufrieden sind.

Insgesamt kann ich das Maison Sen uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach köstlicher vietnamesischer Küche zu erschwinglichen Preisen sind und von einer herzlichen Bedienung umsorgt werden möchten, dann ist dieses Restaurant definitiv einen Besuch wert.
