Undeniably genuine. Unequivocally charming. Unassumingly cool. Hundreds of well loved records line the wall behind the bar, ancient photos and jazz memorabilia hang from the vintage wallpaper, covered by thick patina. Akin to stepping into a rift in time and space back to before the iPhone and Spotify. Locals coming and going, connecting over cold kolsch and crispy, crackling Hi Fi deep cuts. Thank you for making us feel like part of the family, next time I am in Koln I will undoubtedly be back...

What a curious spot! Jazz music all the way in a small bar with super chilled atmosphere, mixed crowd and a feeling you are in your own neighborhood even though you've never been there. Very friendly bartender, good choice of whiskey for such a small place. Might not be everyone's taste but I'd definitely recomend stopping buy if you're around. Very...

Seemingly untouched since it opened in 1968. The massive collection of vintage jazz records on display behind the bar where other places would keep their liquors tells you where their priorities are. Fantastic atmosphere, if you can squeeze in. Sion Kölsch, but you're not coming here for the...

Enjoy Irish beer like Guinness or Kilkenny, excellent Wine and Liquors or selected Gins and Whiskeys. The interior is very unique and shows many pictures of the history of Metronom. Kaum betritt man den Laden, fühlt man sich, als wäre man in einen Nouvelle-Vague-Film der 60er Jahre versetzt worden. Hier scheint die Zeit stillzustehen – und das auf die schönste Art und Weise. Musikalisch ist das Metronom ohnehin ein Leckerbissen: Die Jazz-Klänge reichen von Klassikern bis hin zu moderneren Sounds – perfekt abgestimmt. Der Laden ist für alle, die echte Jazz-Atmosphäre lieben, eine unverzichtbare Adresse in Köln. Die nostalgische Atmosphäre macht jeden Besuch zu einem Zeitreise-Erlebnis. Ansonsten sei noch der Gin Tonic empfohlen; der schmeckt nämlich genauso zeitlos wie die Musik! ;-)
