The cocktails are amongst the best I have had anywhere in the world and I have lived on three continents. What differentiates the cocktails is the use of south east asian ingredients not usually associated with cocktails. What makes this place get full marks is really the team that is hospitable and makes you feel welcome with some of that South Asian hospitality. I mean in countries like India and the US , getting a free glass of tap water is the norm, but in most of Germany you are expected to pay for distilled water and when you ask for a glass of tap water, it's like you're asking for a favour. None of that at this place. These guys serve water and notice when your glass is almost empty and top it up. This is a customer centric attitude that even in a full bar with a line outside, the bartender is noticing how your individual experience is. I go here at least once a month and plan to keep that up....

Zu allererst ist es mir recht schwierig gefallen, eine Rezension zu diesem überaus schönen Lokal zu schreiben ohne hierbei ein passendes Bild hochzuladen. Ich war bei meinem ersten Besuch einfach überwältigt von den Eindrücken. Deswegen habe ich so einige Wochen gewartet in der Hoffnung, dieses Lokal noch einmal wiederholt aufzusuchen und meine Eindrücke zu bestätigen. Ich warte schon sehnsüchtig auf einen weiteren Besuch. Man wird sehr warm vom Service empfangen, voller Fokus auf die Konzentration und Aufmerksamkeit der Kellner. Die Plätze werden schnell und freundlich zugewiesen, sofern man nicht warten muss. Es ist ein Lokal mit einer unglaublich warmen, angenehmen, heimischen und gleichzeitig komplett fremden Atmosphäre. Es ist sri-lankisch angehaucht. Selbst der Name deutet auf eine typische Tätigkeit als Palmweinpflanzer. Es wird regelmäßig (unentgeltlich) stilles Wasser eingegossen, sodass es eine angenehme Abrundung zu den Cocktails ist. Kannte ich in dieser Form in Deutschland tatsächlich nicht. Erfrischend angenehm! Kommen wir jedoch zu den wahren Highlights: den Cocktails. Es gibt auch welche mit Arrak, was landestypisch ist. Es ist eine Explosion unterschiedlicher Geschmäcker. Wir hatten wir unterschiedliche Cocktails bestellt und jeder wurde getestet. Ich hatte einen Khalifa Martini. Ein Cocktail, der Rosenwasser, Champagner und Wodka mitunter als Komplementen beinhaltet. Ganz klar keine alltäglich klassischen Cocktails, die man gefühlt in jeder Bar bestellen kann. Wer Long Island Ice Tea oder einen Zombie sucht ist hier fehl am Platz. Es war unfassbar gut. Es gab mir Wunsch nach mehr. Es wurden Meisterstücke gezaubert.
