Sami‘s Theaterbar — Restaurant in Dortmund

Went to have desert with the kids and was VERY disappointed! Lava cake was good IMO but had the smallest ice cream scoop I have ever witnessed! Way smaller than the pic I saw here. I went because of 4.9 rating but arriving the atmosphere was not good. Not surprised there wasn't anyone except us. So we came and had a seat, the restaurant was full of flies and VERY warm (considering it was not even a hot day outside). The kids barelly touched the lava cake which really surprised me since they love sweets, and I had to finish all by myself. After eating I paid and commented on the ice cream scoops being small, and the response I had was a rude ITS A ONE PERSON DESERT. *Note we ordered 1 lava cake EACH for total 30 Euro for almost nothing. This spot is great for a casual dinner with friends and family. It is a cozy place with an old interesting piano inside.

The service was excellent and fast. We did not have to wait until the waitress can see us because they were always checking up on us if we need anything. Sami (the owner) was also very friendly and made sure that we had a good time.

The food was incredibly tasteful and fresh. Every service was hot as it should be. My favorite was carpaccio and my husbands favorite was the shrimp pod.

Wir waren an einem Freitag-Abend spontan ohne Reservierung bei Sami‘s und haben einen gemütlichen Ecktisch bekommen. Auf das Lokal sind wir über das Internet aufmerksam geworden. Die Parkmöglichkeiten direkt nebenan in der Parkgarage sind sehr gut. Der Gastgeber Sami ist super freundlich und ein angenehmer Typ. Trüffelpasta mit Steak sowie Penne mit Rindfleisch und Tomatensoße ein Gedicht. Selten so gut gegessen, gerade in Dortmund ;) Preis/Leistung ist fair. Wir haben für zwei Drinks, zwei Pastagerichte mit Rind und einen Espresso ca. 56€ gezahlt.
