sweet GREECE — Restaurant in Dresden

The food was delicious and the customer service was generally helpful and friendly. However, I removed 1 star because there was too much salt on the food, and do take into consideration that I usually like my food saltier than people I know. I had to remove 2 stars to be fair with my review because of a passive-aggressive, sarcastic, and probably manipulative behavior of a person who was sent there to help us decide what we will order.

The whole conversation took in Greek as me, my partner and him we are all Greek. To summarize, we asked his opinion about a few appetizers and how many people can share these and instead of answering my question he was being sarcastic about it and then he ended up suggesting that we let him decide what to bring for all of us by himself, without letting us know what that is. When we asked about how much it would cost he acted offended and he was insisting. Then I kindly asked him to just give an approximate of the total price and he left turning his back to us in a passive-aggressive way (common emotionally immature behavior of a Mediterranean baby boomer I’m very familiar with).

In my understanding, this person’s ego is so inflated that he felt entitled to our blind trust in what to bring and how much it would cost. Fortunately, I learned to identify and understand very well these tactics so they don’t work on me anymore.

The reason I’m spending precious time from my Sunday to write this review is not that I expect him to accept responsibility or reflect on his behavior but for potential customers to be aware of this kind of social pressure and to encourage them to not be shy to set boundaries and speak up.

If we were not treated in this way perhaps we would think about revisiting. Fortunately, there are many greek restaurants in Dresden to visit. I genuinely wish all the best to this person and I hope he deals with his issues soon. No hard feelings! I...

It's definitely a nice place to have food in at least once. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the decor has quite a nice modern feel to it. It feels a little claustrophobic here and there but that's not much of an issue. The servers are competent so you will be well taken care of from the start. The food is pretty standard for the price you pay for it. You get a complementary shot and a salad which makes coming here a great deal. At lunch time, you can pick up a delicious plate of gyros along with the other complementary things for very cheap making it great for a quick bite. The menu is quite extensive which is nice. I get the feeling that the seafood options are not too fresh but aside from that everything I've tasted seems to be great. The wait time is a bit long which is not great but the food is usually worth the wait.

Me my friend went to for my little celebration to this beautiful restaurant. The ambiance was great, and we loved the food.

But the service was little too condescending by the one who was service my friend mocha, which she didn't found as for her taste, when we asked him to take it back and get her some other drink, he gave her a very bad respond saying " you know what it is", she said "yes, it is mocha" to which he replied very arrogantly "yes it is mocha" . (Note : we didn't ask for refund or exchange) This was quite off putting, which end up spoiling our mood. If this somehow gets to the guy, I just wanted to say "for you this may be your everyday job but for some it.maybe once in a year experience, please don't ruin it"
