Wir haben die Bar ausgewählt, weil sie auf den Bestenlisten der Düsseldorfer Cocktailbars gelistetet wird und waren ziemlich enttäuscht. Die Getränkekarte ist absoluter Standard, neben Klassikern wir Americano und Gin Fizz fanden sich sogar noch 1980er Drinks wie Pina Colada. Die Kellnerin war sehr nett. Auf unsere Frage, ob sie uns einen Drink kreieren wolle, entgegnete sie, dass sie selbst keine Drinks mixe, sie gab meine Bitte aber auch nicht an den Bartender weiter, eine solche Beratung hätte ich mir jedoch von einer der Top-Bars in Düsseldorf gewünscht. Wir bestellten dann von der Karte einen Zombie und einen Long Island Icetea. Beide Cocktails waren extrem stark. Vorteil: Sie waren mit 10 Euro pro Drink sehr günstig.

Von innen hat sich seit Jahrzehnten nicht viel geändert und das ist auch gut so. "Die Getränkebar" ist riesig und ein Hingucker und die Cocktails ebben nie ab, denn die Barkeeper sind sehr aufmerksam.

Bar Alexander ist eine äußerst charmante Location mit einem freundlichen und aufmerksamen Personal. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr ansprechend, und die Bedienung macht den Aufenthalt besonders angenehm. Die Vielfalt an Cocktails ist beeindruckend, wobei jeder Drink mit 10€ fair bewertet ist.

We love this bar. Perfect for a romantic cocktail and drinks are perfectly mixed.

Our only issue is the music. The atmosphere is perfect with low lighting and Jazz-inspired art on the walls and feels almost like a 1950’s jazz club and yet they play horrible edm music where you can only hear the tinny top end of the hi-hat. Pop some Sarah Vaughan or Dave Brubeck on the stereo and you’ll have one...

The best Cocktails in the world. A hidden gem of Düsseldorf. If you wanna have a seat and drink then make sure to arrive around 9 or latest 10pm. After that this place is crowded and is open only till 1am. We had a great time enjoying the Flight Menu where you can choose 4 drinks if you are in a group 2. My favorite is...

Meine frühere liebste Cocktailbar!

Leider gefällt mir das Ambiente derzeit nicht mehr und die Entwicklung war nach meinem Geschmack nicht positiv:

Die TV-Bildschirme stören in dieser kleinen Lokalität mit so einer tollen, klassischen Bar das Ambiente total. Nun wirkt es eher wie eine Sportsbar. Putzmittel DIREKT hinter der Theke. Wenn man an der Bar sitzt, kann man schon auf Putzmittelsprühköpfe sehen. Das könnte man besser lösen. Es gibt keine "Flights" mehr. Die Cocktails sind ok. Musik: uuuh :( Es lief schlimmer "Altstadt-Latino-Raggea-Kram". Auch das trägt nicht zu einer Wohlfühlatmosphäre bei...

Ich habe den Eindruck, es soll inzwischen ein... lässigeres... Publikum mit weniger Anspruch angesprochen werden. Schade, leider...
