⭐️The food here distinguishes themselves by a balance of original flavours accentuated by just the right touch of seasoning. In the case of steamed tripes, the zest of ginger extract gives the bouncy texture a refreshing kick. The wonton soup looks plain, but the stock has a subtle richness that is not (according to my taste buds) created through the shortcut of adding artificial chemicals, rather, it is most likely house made stock.

⭐️Acoustics: While the music is not exactly irritatingly loud, I would’ve much preferred an even lower volume, to fit the overall gentle vibe of the cozy space.

⭐️Artwork: I loved the monochromatic ink brush painting depicting a street vendor of roasted ducks. It lays out the key steps in preparing this popular delicacy and reminds me of the many bustling open air markets in Asia. The hairstyle of the characters point to a bygone era (Qing Dynasty, 1644-1912), but the beauty of quality food prepared with care is with us today and especially at this restaurant.

⭐️As usual, I chatted a little with the chefs and gave compliments on their dedication to a well-run kitchen.

⭐️Last but not least, the bathroom is...

FOOD & DRINKS I love Dim Sum. There are always some items I go back to but I am also very curious about new creations. We ordered several dishes plus quite a few dim sum items. The spinach dumplings with a piece of char siu were very unbalanced. Way too much spinach. The carrot cake was pretty good. I also liked the fried rice, Malaysian shrimp curry and roasted duck. As for our noodle dishes I found it a weird choice to use thin vermicelli noodles. Some dishes were a bit salty and others lacked a bit of power.

SERVICE Friendly service.

ATMOSPHERE Very cliché, typical Chinese restaurant.

RATING I think overall the experience was okay. I was very happy to see that they had a special oven for the peking duck! Not sure if it was enough to convince me to come back but I would give it a try and see...

The best chinese restaurant in Düsseldorf to have Peking Duck! The food was tasty and the staff were friendly. Since there is only one cook and he uses fresh ingredients to cook, sometimes you might wait for main dish a little bit more than normal restaurants, so it's better to have starter. The cook grew up on Malaysia so you can find also some delicious malay food...
