MAKI Sushi und Burrito& Take Away — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

Absolutely terrible experience. We ordered three different dishes, and while the taste wasn’t bad, what happened next was beyond unacceptable. My friend found a literal stone in her ramen. Yes, a stone. When we informed the waitress, she took the ramen and the stone away without saying much. Then, another waitress came over and questioned us about where the stone had come from, even threatening to check the security cameras—as if we had put it there ourselves! We immediately told her to go ahead and check them, but no one ever came back to us.

When we got up to pay, we asked the first waitress if they had actually checked the cameras, because after such terrible treatment, the least we deserved was an apology. She told us they hadn’t even reviewed the footage, but at least they wouldn’t charge my friend for the ramen with a stone in it (as if that were some kind of favor). Meanwhile, the kitchen staff behind her were laughing about the whole situation.

Do they even understand how serious this could have been? If my friend had bitten into the stone, she could have broken a tooth! And instead of apologizing, they questioned us and treated us like liars?

Absolutely disgraceful. If I could give this place -100 stars, I would. Save yourself the awful experience and go...

Tasty, good quality sushi. Beautiful serving, pretty dishes and even colorful napkins -it all makes the foody experience complete. The restaurant itself is quite small,but yet nice, cozy and well decorated, toilet is quite clean. Food-wise 5 stars. The waiter, who served us though,wasn’t the most pleasant guy, bringing us wrong drinks and being rude since we entered -that’s why I give it 4/5. All in all 5 drinks, 3 dishes and a boat for 4 were less than a 100€ which i find good price. Before billing they give your a little fortune cookie 🥠 which I find a nice detail. Cool ambience and the service is really great. The girl who took our orders was very attentive and nice. The sushi is fresh but I prefer the rice to be more intact. It makes a huge difference in the sushi game. I love Japanese food so much and I know my sushi well. The mango chill rolls are delicious as always. I used to order it via Wolt and it is my first time to try dining in.
