Absolutely fantastic experience at Pastahaus Il Mercato! I started with the carpaccio, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve had—thinly sliced, melt-in-your-mouth beef topped with fresh arugula, Parmesan shavings, and just the right drizzle of olive oil and lemon. The freshness and flavor balance were perfect.

For my main, I went with the spaghetti, and you can tell immediately it’s made to order. The pasta had that perfect al dente bite, and the sauce tasted like it was crafted from scratch right in the kitchen, full of fresh ingredients and depth of flavor. Nothing reheated or rushed here—everything is prepared with care.

Service was a solid 5/5. The staff was friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of the food they serve. You feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in.

The location itself is charming, with a warm, cozy interior and a nice, relaxed vibe. The only minor downside is that parking nearby can be a bit limited, but it’s well worth finding a spot because the meal you’ll get here is more than worth the effort.

Il Mercato – Hausgemachte Pasta & mehr in stilvollem Ambiente

Das Il Mercato bietet eine große Auswahl an hausgemachten Pastagerichten, aber auch Alternativen wie Flammkuchen oder Gerichte von der wechselnden Wochenkarte – für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Besonders spannend: Die Pasta-Kombinationen sind nicht immer klassisch italienisch, wie z. B. Lachs mit Lauch, was dem Geschmack aber keinen Abbruch tut.

Wir entschieden uns für die Trüffelpasta sowie die Lachspasta. Beide Gerichte kamen zügig an den Tisch, und die Nudeln waren perfekt al dente.

Die Trüffelpasta war wunderbar sahnig und cremig, mit einer großzügigen Portion Parmesan. Der Trüffelgeschmack war angenehm präsent, ohne zu dominant zu sein – vermutlich wurde hier auch mit Trüffelöl gearbeitet, aber das Gesamtbild stimmte. Zusätzlich gab es ein paar feine Trüffelscheiben als Topping. Die Lachspasta überzeugte mit saftigem Lachs und einer gut ausbalancierten Soße, die den Fischgeschmack nicht überdeckte. Das frische Gemüse rundete das Gericht ab.

Der Service war insgesamt freundlich, allerdings hatte das Personal bei dem gut besuchten Restaurant einiges zu tun, sodass es teilweise zu Wartezeiten kam.

Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt war die Preisdifferenz: Die Karte war nicht ganz aktuell, sodass z. B. der Aperol statt 7,90 € nun 8,90 € kostete. Insgesamt zahlte ich für die Trüffelpasta (21 €) und zwei Aperol mit Trinkgeld 42 €, was definitiv ein gehobener Preis ist – vermutlich durch den Standort und die hausgemachte Qualität der Pasta gerechtfertigt, aber dennoch eher unter der Kategorie "Kann man sich mal gönnen".

Allerdings gibt es auch durchaus preisgünstigere Pastagerichte, sodass man hier nicht zwingend tief in die Tasche greifen muss – es ist also für jeden Geldbeutel etwas dabei.

Fazit: Ein solides, gutes Restaurant mit frischer Pasta und abwechslungsreicher Speisekarte. Wer hausgemachte Pasta liebt, kann sich hier entweder für ein besonderes Gericht entscheiden oder eine preisgünstigere Variante wählen. Ich komme gerne wieder, um weitere Gerichte zu probieren!

Pastahaus has been our "go-to" place for the last 2 years or so. But last couple of times, I have been noticing a slight decline in the quality. Yesterday the gorgonzola sause I ordered was quite bad. It was a bit 'powdery'. Or something like that. Was a bit weird. However, I must also admit that the other two pastas we ordered were quite good. Very good actually. Only mine was bad. Only 1/3 was bad.

I also tend to judge a eatery by the bread you get there and yesterday the bread was terrible. It was so dry that it "stuck" in my wife's throat and that was irritating her the entire time. Feeling stuck was the word she used.

Will we go there again? Maybe. But not our go-to...
