Chutney — Restaurant in Essen

Worst Indian food. Ever. This restaurant should not be allowed to carry the name 'India' in its title.

The picture shows 'Chilli chicken' that costs 7.20€/plate. It is literally tomato sauce with lots of bell peppers (paprika) and 5 tiny (!!) pieces of chicken. The rice has literally no flavor and the papad is literally dripping with oil.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Worst Indian food experience ever.

Just take my advice and eat in either the Italian or Arabic restaurant on either side of this sorry excuse of a restaurant and...

Food being sold as Indian is absolutely different tasting than the food the Indian eat. We tried the naan which was just burnt pizza bread heated and given, the veg curry tasted nothing like Indian curry, the fritters were all re fried stuff full of oil, the Samosa was refried and horrible. Indians pls don't go by rating and landup there, like we did, specially if you are vegetarian, you may be wasting money on absolutely not so Indian tasting food. Would not recommend anyone looking for authentic Indian...

ich möchte gerne meine Erfahrungen mit dem indischen Schnellimbiss "Chutney" im Limbecker Platz teilen. Ich war kürzlich dort und muss sagen, dass ich begeistert bin! Nicht nur das Essen war unglaublich lecker, sondern auch die Verkäufer waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Besonders das Chicken Makhan hat es mir angetan - es war zart, saftig und unglaublich aromatisch. Ich war beeindruckt von der großzügigen Portion, die ich bekommen habe - es war definitiv viel Fleisch dabei. Die Gewürze waren perfekt abgestimmt und haben das Gericht zu einem wahren Geschmackserlebnis gemacht.

Aber nicht nur das Chicken Makhan war ein Highlight, auch die anderen Gerichte, die ich probiert habe, waren köstlich. Ich kann das Chana Masala und das Butter Chicken nur empfehlen - beide waren wirklich fantastisch.

Neben dem tollen Essen möchte ich auch noch einmal betonen, wie nett und freundlich die Verkäufer waren. Sie waren sehr hilfsbereit bei der Auswahl der Gerichte und haben mir sogar ein paar Empfehlungen gegeben, die sich als Volltreffer herausgestellt haben.

Insgesamt kann ich das Chutney im Limbecker Platz uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach authentischer indischer Küche sind, werden Sie hier definitiv fündig. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker, die Portionen sind großzügig und das Personal ist sehr nett. Ein Besuch lohnt sich...
