Bombay Palace — Restaurant in Frankfurt

I was visiting Frankfurt for a couple of days and decided to go this restaurant because I like Indian Food. And I also had a Birthday on that day.

It was an excellent idea to go there. Yes it is not central, but it is easy to get there by public transportation. I booked a table for the evening and when I was there it was given free to me, to decide where to sit, this is actually nice.

The food was good, as far as I can judge it tasted well. Although I must warn you, it was very spicy, so if you are not a friend of spicy food, better to think twice. But as it is commonly known, Indian Cuisine is like this.

The service was very good. I liked it very much, at least two persons were near our table. The food was served on nice plates. And the only thing which was not excellent was the language, sometimes it was hard to get, what they said.

Because of my Birthday the owner himself came to the restaurant. He gave us free shots of different alcoholic drinks, which were really tasty, and he drank for my health as well. And as a good bye gift, he gave us a bottle of champagne , which is a nice gift for the birthday.

Wir wollten uns zu viert einen schönen Abend machen, der Abend war schön am Service lag es nicht. Ich betrat als Erste das Restaurant, die Anderen verspäteten sich etwas. Ich saß noch nicht, da bekam ich schon die Karte und sollte bestellen. Mein Einwand das da noch drei Leute kommen, ich warten möchte und er noch drei Karten bringen kann beantwortete er mit " kein Problem", die Karten kamen aber nicht, dafür alle 5 Minuten der Chef mit der Frage nach meiner Bestellung. Gott sei dank kam dann die nächste der Runde, und sofort, die Jacke war noch nicht ausgezogen sollten wir bestellen. Na gut ... vor lauter Verzweiflung haben wir dann etwas zu trinken bestellt. Die Getränke kamen mit der dritten Person und die fragerei nach der Bestellung begann von neuem. Wir haben uns dann gedacht naja 2 x Naan zum warten mit Raita geht immer, das hätten wir mal besser gelassen. Das Brot war gut aber das Raita war nicht essbar, aber wir waren den Chef los. Nun kam auch unsere vierte im Bunde und wir bestellten richtig. Die Vorspeisenplatte für Zwei und die Vegetarischen Samosas haben wir geteilt, es hat geschmeckt und war ausreichend, aber es war nichts besonderes im Vergleich zu anderen Indischen Restaurants in Frankfurt. Die Hauptspeisen haben allen geschmeckt, wer mag kann Reis nachbestellen und wenn die Hauptspeise erst mal auf dem Tisch steht wird es auch schon schwieriger an Getränke zu kommen, da fragt keiner mehr und wenn man dann jemanden erwischt und bestellt hat, wird erstmal der Nachbartisch neu eingedeckt bevor man sein Getränk bekommt. Das Restaurant ist ansonsten gemütlich mit einigen indischen Dekoelementen nicht zu kitschig eingerichtet. Zu den Toiletten sei gesagt, 30 Minuten nach Öffnung gab es kein Handtuchpapier und in einer Kabine kein Toilettenpapier, auch war es nicht wirklich sauber. Ich habe den Papiermangel dem Kellner mitgeteilt, der wollte es sofort beheben und hat dafür vom Chef erstmal einen Anschiss kassiert. Wir...
