Gute Stute — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Now this is one cool bar, though it can be very, very difficult to get it. In fact it is a bit of a hike from the city, hidden in a back street among apparentments, which means that it is really quite, and generally only the locals know about it, so don't expect the bartender to either speak, or want to speak, English. However the atmopshere is nothing short of awesome, and the staff pretty friendly. While I wouldn't go as far as calling it a dive bar, it does have a style all of its own - in fact I would go as far as calling it unique (at least where I am concerned). Mind you, once you know where it is it is pretty easy to find - just look for the red carriage out the front. Actually, I probably should also mention that it is a basement bar, which adds to its awesomness (though you can smoke inside, should you might need to be aware of that if you don't particularly...

I visited this bar with some friends from abroad and unfortunately we experienced racism from the staff. We were constantly asked to keep it quiet by an old man working there, while other tables who were loud were not warned at all. Additionally, we were asked to pay our bill and leave telling us the bar was closing, even though they kept getting new orders from others. We felt discriminated and unwelcome. I hope the staff can learn from this experience and provide a welcoming environment for English...

"habt ihr kein Zuhause" dies ist der Begrüßungsspruch den man all zu gerne zu hören bekommt wenn man schon ein bisschen bekannter in dieser kleinen, idyllischen, raucherfreundlichen Kneipe ist. Es ist oft, ja all zu oft, ziemlich eng und voll in der kleinen Gaststube, und das hat nichts mit der lebensgroßen Stutenfigur zu tun die auch dort aufzufinden ist), nein es sind einfach so viele Leute da. Ja ok und ein Pferd steht in der Kneipe aber das ist ein anderes Thema... Bei schönem Wetter kann man auch draußen im Biergarten sitzen und dort das kühle Gold die trockene Kehle herunter gleiten lassen. Nur ist draußen zu beachten, dass man auf sich selbst acht geben muss, wenn man ein neues Getränk bekommen möchte. Ivo ist öfter alleine an der Theke und ein direkte Blick von der theke nach draußen zu durstigen Gästen ist dann sehr schwer.

Gerüchten zu folge soll der Ivo auch einen der Besten Caipirinha machen aber wenn man solch einen bestellt wird man nur schräg angeschaut und lachend gesagt "bist du verrückt" oder "willst du mich...
