DaVinc Cucina e Vino — Restaurant in Frankfurt

The guy which was host and waiter was nice but slow and not attentive. I got seated before a group that was waiting outside but then he goes and takes their orders after they get seated minutes after me. Only 3. Other groups in the restaurant and I felt like that’s when I regretted coming. I REALLY wanted beef carpaccio and it was very simple, I thought it was good, and so far didn’t get sick but idk how it actually compared to when I ate it in Italy. I also wanted to try the lasagna but the service was bad so I ended up going and getting food somewhere after instead. They lost their chance to make more money off of me because they were not focused. Only other “employee” looked like the owner who was also the chef / busser/cleaner of the tables. Bad experience, before I booked the table I asked trough their Instagram if they had gluten free options on the menu as my wife is allergic to gluten, they reply saying they had meals for her, so we proceed to book the table, when we got to the restaurant we ask the owner what on the menu was gluten free, and he in a very bad tone said "everything is with gluten!, nothing can she eat!". He didn't even try to offer us an option nor put himself on our position. She is not celiac by choice and we would much welcome some understanding, I even showed the text I received from them contradicting him, and he proceeded to talk in italian with the other staff. I have to say this was an phenomenal authentic Italian meal. The restaurant is tucked away from the main strip so not crowded but had a great ambiance. I had the rocket (arugula) salad, minostrone soup and beef canneroni. The salad and soup were simple but delicious. The pasta was one of the best pastas I've ever had. The staff speaking Italian rounded off this authentic experience. Would definitely come back everytime in Frankfurt.
