I stayed at this hotel for two nights while attending the Gods of Ink tattoo convention being held at the Messe Forum. Location-wise, the hotel is perfect if you're attending a convention or event at the Forum or the Festhalle, and is well connected via public transport. There is a shopping centre/mall across the road from the hotel (the Skyline Plaza, which contains a Rewe supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee shops and so on - just to note that everything except Starbucks is closed on Sundays).|The hotel staff I encountered were pleasant, and spoke English to me (my German isn't advanced enough for a proper conversation, unfortunately). The main lounge area was nice with plenty of seating; I ordered a coffee from the bar because I didn't want a full breakfast, and sat with it in the lounge with a book.|The room itself was decent, clean, and price-wise, good value. The bed was comfortable with 2 different kinds of pillow, and I had a nice big window that opened fully. The room lacked a couple of basics (I am used to having a kettle in the most basic of hotel rooms, but perhaps this is not common in Frankfurt?). There were two places to hang clothes and a good shelving area. I think if you were staying for a few nights or with another person, a larger room might be more practical. |The bathroom was very tiny - I think a larger person would find it uncomfortable. I had to dry myself in the shower because there was barely enough room to stand in the space between the toilet and the sink, and I am not a giant. |One very small thing; they provided a paper cup instead of a glass, which seemed silly - the cup disintegrated after a couple of uses and I had to ask for another, which felt less eco-friendly, despite their commitment to saving water, reducing waste, and so on.|Overall though, it was a good experience, a great location for the convention, and I would...
Read moreI have to give just one star because of the staff behavior, by far the worst and most disrespectful approach I have ever. experienced. Honestly there was nothing good except lobby design in this hotel, rooms are the “smallest” I have ever seen but let me tell you the worst part. I went down to lobby to have a coffee, I ordered cappuccino with oat milk. I was waiting while the “barista” (he has nothing to do with being barista) making the coffee he only warm the milk no foam at all he made, then he gave it to me. I told him that it’s not cappuccino, he asked me whether do I want this or not, I said no because that’s not what I asked. By the way he has a huge coffee machine probably with 3 boils but as a barista he doesn’t know how to make a foam out of it. I could even tolerate if he would say nicely but he just didn’t care and takes the cup away don’t look at your face. Then I said i won’t try to talk to this person and walked to the other person who is in charge, he explained me that with this oat milk he can’t make a foam. I told him that look, i dont drink diary I have a very small coffee machine at home and I make it everyday, if I can make it with regular machine, he can definitely make it too then this rude person came closer and told me that i should talk to him not somebody else as if he did care when I told him that this is not a cappuccino. Long story short, i wouldn’t expect a germans to be so rude and not care about the guest they chose to stay in their hotel. I will never come back here again only because...
Read moreBooked this hotel because of the price, rating, and proximity to the train station. Service is commendable from every member of staff we encountered (front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast servers) -- everyone was nice, friendly, and efficient.
Room was not huge, but was an adequate size. It was very clean, and well laid out and thought out. There was adequate space and storage for our belongings. Bed was comfortable, and shower had good pressure and lots of hot water. Climate control worked well. Hotel was quiet, so we had a good night's rest. Lounge was nice, and prices for drinks were not bad considering it is a hotel lounge. Wi-fi was good.
Underground parking was free for the first hour, so this came in handy because we had planned on returning our rental car after checking in.
There is not much to see and do in the immediate vicinity, but the centre is about a 30-40-minute walk away. There is also a mall next door. The U-bahn station is about a 5-minute walk, and there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that would take you straight to the Hauptbanhof where you can take the S-bahn to the airport.
Very good stay, and would gladly book here again if I were to go back...
