I attended this place alone to get some food for lunch. I looked at the reviews and they were mixed good and bad, but I decided to take a chance because I was local to the restaurant and very hungry. I was taken to a seat and given a menu. It was around 15 mins before someone came and took my order, this was after trying to make eye contact with staff who seemed like they were ignoring me. The staff member came over and there was no apology, they just asked what I wanted. He didn't write down the order just walked over to the kitchen. I also ordered a sparkling water, this would have been so easy to bring to me, but that didn't happen. What actually happened is after waiting for 30-40 mins with absolutely nothing, I managed to finally get the waiter attention and ask for my food again. He just nodded and didn't say much. I thought he had gone to collect my food my I looked up again and saw him having a casual conversation with someone, very unprofessional. Then he finally brought out what looked like a cheap 'ready meal' version of a lasagne, it looked or tasted nothing like the description on the menu. I then said ok, but I ordered water with a slice of lemon. He came back again no appology with just a glass and the water, I said that I asked for a slice of lemon. It felt like he was purposely taking his time. So now it had been 45 mins before I recieved any food or drink! Absolutely unacceptable. I ate the food and then of course I had to try and hound them down for the bill. I saw that the couple in front of me also had this problem and they looked quite shocked when the same waiter called Mo ignored them too. I finally stood up after waiting another 15 mins for the bill as I thought this might speed things up. He came over very abruptly and asked if I was paying with cash or card. I said card. But I just had such a bad service I thought they could at least do something if they wasn't going to apologize. So I said to Mo, actually I'm not very happy with the waiting time, I had to wait so long for the food and water. I said that he could have just brought over my water easily before my food, which is what every other restaurant does. He replied actually No, I was shocked. So then he started getting defensive and asked if I wanted to speak with the manager. So I said ok. A very young guy approached my table he looked around 23, I wasn't expecting him to be the manager because he had this sort of teenage boy vibe about him. I explained everything to the manager who just stared at me with a blank face, again no apology. I was completely shocked. All he said was thanks for letting me know, I'll take the water of the bill. I was just dumfounded, how can the manager think that this is acceptable, anyway I agreed to this. The manager then disappeared, ridiculous, he could have helped me with the bill. So then I had to wait another 10 mins to get the attention of someone. So I get up and go to the table where the till is. The waiter Mo was there and was talking to me very aggressively. I said please do not speak to me like that, you are being rude. He just ignored me and kept saying €9. Then he tried to snatch my visa card out of my hand. I said how dare you, he said I'm busy I don't have time for you. I was completely and utterly shocked. Not only was he rude but now violating me and trying to snatch my card. The manager came over once again and I explained what just happened. I was shocked when all he said was 'well I didn't see it' I said if course you didn't because you wasn't there. Then Mo (the member of staff) was shouting at me in front of the manager and the manager didn't even try to stop him. The manager then also kept repeating the price €9 and I still haven't received an apology. In London this would never happen, actually it has never happened to me before. I actually previously worked in the customer service industry and this behaviour towards a customer would lead to a dismissal. I just refused to pay the €9 after that, I thought there is no way I am parting with my money now, especially...
Read moreWe have just returned from a 7 night stay in Frankfurt. We chose to eat here for 3 of those nights, and wish we
d done so more often. The food was simply magnificent, and the portions more than adequate. The standard of service we found to be quite exceptional, with a LOT of attentive staff always prowling the large indoor and outdoor tables. The choices on the menu were more than sufficient and the speed food was delivered was impressive for such a big establishment. On our third night (our last in Frankfurt), we were seated across from the guys making Pizzas and were fascinated by their speed and efficiency. Although the Pizzas looked lovely, and were an impressive size,we ordered pasta each time and were delighted with our choices all three nights. Their dessert selection was not extensive but was impressive..We both had Spaghetti ice cream the first night, and my girlfiend ordered that the next two times, while I had their magnificent Gellato.... There was never any doubt that we
d choose to have our last meal in Frankfurt here (Our last visit - Saturday,19/07/25) and we loved every second of it... We cannot praise this restaurant highly enough.... 10/10 Gold Star... Read moreEdit: too loud, too full, too few personnel...I won't be going back. Each new visit is worse than the last. A big disappointment for the money.
First , the positive: the food is great! Pizza the way they make it in Italy and all the other dishes are to be recommended. The service is very good, considering how full the place always is. Decoration, layout, surroundings, and location are all very pleasant. Prices, for Frankfurt, are acceptable.
And now the BIG negative (and the reason I'm deducting 3 stars): the music is entirely too loud! Table conversation is next to impossible...one has to shout to be heard. The guests at the other tables are all shouting to each other as well...the manager is shouting to the waiters & waitresses and they shout to each other...all this creates an ungodly din! When asked if she could turn the music down, the waitress informed us that this wasn't possible because it's programmed to be loud when there are a lot of guests and not quite so loud when fewer guests are there. This leads me to believe that their motto is: Eat.Pay.Get out! Profit, not the guests well-being, is No. 1 priority...
