Restaurant Demera — Restaurant in Frankfurt

One of the best Ethiopian food restaurants I've tried by far. Service is friendly, they speak German and English. For people who are having Ethiopian for the first time, I recommend the Demera Platter which is an assortment of dishes both vegetarian and meat, and if you're feeling real hungry or something else caught your eye, you can simply add another dish to that assortment. Most if not all of their food is eaten by hand so get ready to get messy. Don't worry they have a bathroom and you have the option to ask for cutlery, although half of the experience is eating with your hands. I loved this place!!! From the menu to the seating to the authentic Ethiopian honey wine to the delicious kitfo!! I am an Ethiopian that is visiting from the states and I have just been away from home for too long I missed the taste of Ethiopian food I searched for an hour looking for the perfect place trying to be as careful as possible to not go to an Ethiopian restaurant that is not authentic and I am so glad I came here!! Excellent african food and drinks, courteous service, friendly waiters. If you need help with the food, do not hesitate to ask, the waiter was speaking both German and English. Besides that, the menus are bilingual as well (in German and English). They have few Ethiopian drinks (I liked the Tej), but also normal beers, wines and spirits. Try to get a bigger table, as the food is served in authentic(?) big platters.
