The very first thing I must disclaim that this is a COMBINED food + service rating.
Let's get the food out of the argument first. Their pizza is perhaps the best Italian pizza I've eaten in Frankfurt by far - soft spongy dough, cheese that doesn't come out and some great toppings. What's best, is that it also tastes really good the next day. Now that's real pizza test. Out of the the pizzas I had ordered, Burratino and Quatro were mind-blowing.
Now, when we talk about the service, I think some things can be improved. I know that this is a self service restaurant and it's so busy that the staff doesn't want to bother themselves with assisting people finding a table etc.. menial things. I get that. But even this pattern can be improved.
You have to order first and only then you can sit at a table, which is fine. But the queue is of both type of people - ordering to sit and taking out. Why not make these two queues separate so that people who want to sit can sit a bit quicker? Sometimes there are kids or elderly people around who have to keep waiting longer times otherwise. Then there are minor things like no cutlery on the table (I'm not talking about a set table, but just in a box) so people don't know till the server brings their order that they will have to get up again to get knives and forks. All in all, service could be improved even if it's a cult restaurant. Hope the owners find this criticism constructive.
Till then, I'll definitely go there again but...
Read more*I give stars based on food below. I leave the review for my experience.
I don’t typically leave reviews for establishments that are clearly high rated even with thousands of reviews. But I feel so inclined. Some context, I have traveled the world extensively for pizza. My favorite of all time is still in Mendoza, Argentina. Unfortunately, every pizza place (of the same style) is forever compared to them as the standard. Fortunately, Super Bro’s has found itself (in my eyes) among the stars! The dough , the dough, the dough!!!! It is near perfect! Chewy, flavorful, slight crunch! I mean, I can’t say enough. But everything on top of that dough is OBVIOUSLY well-thought out and high quality. We got The Peperoni Lover which was fantastic. A little too much honey for me, but my wife thought it was a perfect amount. And we got the Paprika Dream. It was good, but I wouldn’t get it again. It wasn’t memorable. The red onion and highlights are the stand-outs and just not what I would choose, but good nevertheless!
The other most impressive thing about this place is the EFFICIENCY! I had the privilege to sit by the kitchen area and everyone is moving with purpose and expediency. It is very...
Read morewe were just in a restaurant and we waited for a table- and when we finally sat down, the waiter not at all politely told us that the two of us could not sit in a place for four people. So, because we came in two we have to wait even longer, and we watched the people who came after us sit down, but they have an advantage because they came in four... We were lucky that then the people from the bar got up quickly and we sat down there. The saddest thing of all was that at the table in the corner, which is also for at least 4 people, a Mr. and Mrs. was siting there all the time. If you have cameras, feel free to watch Saturday, September 17. 21:00 Likewise, the table next to us from which we were chased was a gentleman and a lady and a baby in a stroller, meaning two at the table and a child in a stroller. To be more funny last time when we were here, we sit just at that table hahaha - in two. Otherwise pizza is fine. 4/5. who likes to be in a crowded and noisy place, the...
