Do not miss this! It is unique and an amazing experience on so many levels. It is an experiential interactive museum where you are guided by a blind guide in the dark through various room scenarios, where you try and decipher the environment around you and navigate it. You will be given a cane as well to try and use. It was a unique eye opening experience that turned the tables on us sighted people, and gives you a rare empathetic look into what it is like to be blind. The tour is about an hour long and there is an opportunity to have a drink and/or food in the blind bar at the end. Reserve in advance and if you do not speak German, make sure you contact them first to see if they have a tour in English available. Tina was our guide and she was outstanding. TIP: It is located underground in the subway entrance area.

Tourist or not, you HAVE to at least experience this! Hidden away under the stairs to the underground this hidden treat is what you need. It's a 60 minute experience of being blind, taking place in pitch black rooms that simulate various different areas of life, from cinema, outdoors, taking a tram, to others. Feel what it's like to be blind and it's an amazing and also thought provoking museum. They do English and German tours. If you are wanting an English Tour, email them directly and they'll be able to advise. I literally emailed the day before and by 9am I had a tour booked with two others. Definitely worth it and you will look at the world in a slightly different way

One of the best museums I've ever been to - simply one of its kind. In the Dialog museum you will be navigated around several completely pitch black dark rooms. You'll be guided by a blind guide and you'll be able to explore each individual rooms by yourself - in total pitch blackness. The only thing that helps you to navigate is the communication to your guide and to other team members. And a stick that can help you to not bump into the wall or against other people. A unique experience - highly recommended! Only improvement suggestion: I'd love to have spend more time in those rooms. It felt slightly rushed.

The museum was an amazing experience- really a must-do in Frankfurt. We will be taking future visitors here. I wish our group had been a little more serious- some of the girls we were with were laughing and yelling when they bumped into things which felt insensitive. However our tour guide was excellent and the museum was extremely well thought out. We did the 90 minute tour.

The receptionist was truly one of the most unpleasant people I have come across in my life. Our first attempt at visiting was unsuccessful due to a system outage- we couldn’t book a tour and she said to come in and see, then when we showed up she was irritated, rude, and said we couldn’t get on a tour. We went again today and nicely asked why we were charged extra (we thought we booked the 60 min tour) and she was very frustrated and said she could only see what was in the computer. This was fine but she raised her voice and was just generally really rude in responding to a reasonable request. After such a great experience with the rest of the staff I can’t help but wonder how she has kept that position. Nothing but glowing feedback for the visually...
