Ordered a bruschetta, Penne Al forno with chicken and a Apfelschorle. 👍🏼 Bruschetta was fresh and crunch, really well made. 👎🏼 The Penne had a nice presentation but the sauce or something else was not smelling good and a bit sour, also, strong taste of black pepper. I just had the chicken covered with cheese and left almost the entire pasta there. Disappointing. 🤦🏻‍♂️ The Apfelschorle was completely without Sprudel as seen in the picture. I asked the waiter to change and he brought exactly the same thing. It’s unacceptable paying 4,50 for a glass of something that was in the fridge for I don’t know how long. 25,50€ one person without dessert. Although the atmosphere of the place is nice, I would not recommend this place. Overpriced for food and quality service provided.

Food was ok, pricey for what it was but I've had better pasta in my travels all over Europe. I ordered a Spagetti Carbonara...which was pretty tasteless and it was drowning in parmesan cheese, so didn't make for the nicest dish. Still, it filled a much need hole in my stomach but I won't eat there again. My advice to travellers/tourists....check to see how busy a restaurant is before entering. A busy restaurant means it's busy for a reason ie the food is good. But this restaurant, it wasn't that busy...even on Friday and Saturday night when a good restaurant is usually packed with people. Waiter had the audacity of asking for a tip. I will only tip if both the food and the service is above and beyond. In this it was far from it.

Food was ok (pricey for what you get) and service was friendly and attentive, BUT be aware that we had a small company during the dinner, mouse(s)! We made the waiter aware, he already knew of the problem and explained to us mouses are coming from outside and assured us there are no nests in the restaurant. Nothing you really want to hear while having a nice dinner. We didn’t stay for dessert and felt alerted and stressed rest of the dinner. Shall this place be even open? Please deal with the problem, e.g. keep the doors closed, put traps, deep clean, etc. as this is health risk for your customers and nothing you shall have in the restaurant.

NO NO NO and NO!!!! This is long but worth the read.

We were there hoping to eat some good pasta. The waiter brought a big board in front of us (instead of a normal menu) with all of expensive food. It was weird not to offer the normal menu but just the expensive stuff.

Food was nice. Wine was horrible, but expensive (no doubt I didn't get the same one that was on the bill. Or it has been open for a long time and not stored properly)

But.

2-3 minuted after we ate (we still had our glasses half full) the waiter asked if we could already pay. I (woman) said yes, with card, all together and I took my wallet out. He went and came back a minute later saying the card payment is not possible, only cash and he said it is 69€. My boyfriend went to the ATM and gave me the money. The waiter came back and seeing me holding the money he placed the bill in front of my boyfriend (we sat on opposite sides of the table). My boyfriend slid the bill to me and I payed (it was 65.40€, not 69!! and I gave him 100€). He then proceeded to give 30€ back TO MY BOYFRIEND, not me, and hesitated on giving the rest. After 5 seconds he just said "Bisschen Trinkgeld für mich" (A little tip for me). Like?? No. I stated that the bill says 65.40€, after which we got all the money. I almost always tip, sometimes right away, sometimes I give the planned amount from my wallet. But what right do you have to DEMAND my money? After such service he didn't earn the tip at all, let alone just take it himself. No. Never again.

I am so sorry that I didn't READ the reviews but just saw 4.2 stars in the proximity of Central railway station. Maybe the stars are from before and/or from other waiters, especially since I later saw a lot of experiences like ours.

Absolutely never again. I regret going there. No matter how good the food is after such...

Lovely food, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Rude and abrupt waiter made the whole experience negative. Given a huge Specials board upon arrival, asked to choose a dish - no full menu given, despite this being on show outside. Asked for menu, more or less thrown on the table. Received a basket containing 6 tiny pieces of bread with some Garlic butter, most tables received Olives etc too.

Took order, food lovely (albeit small portions) lovely wine.

Took ages before asking to place a dessert order, only taken because I “flagged” the waiter, he wasn’t interested at all and seemingly frustrated because I’d asked for something. Received reasonable desserts.

Then, asked for the bill, waiter returned with the verbal value, no printed receipt and told “Cash only”. Told him “No cash” told me to follow him to the Till - where the card machine is! (It’s 2023, who doesn’t offer Card payments?)

Then asked “do I want to leave a tip?” which is disgusting given the DREADFUL service received. I WILL NOT reward bad service under ANY circumstance. Not what I’d expect to be asked, especially given the waiters DISGUSTING attitude that made us feel like we were an inconvenience.

Would I visit again? 100% No.

FYI - The Restaurant located just down the road (Farina Di Nonna) offered lovely food too and a FAR better service, we ate there yesterday and wished we had just gone there again instead!

Don’t bother here, I...

Unsere Vorspeisen (u.a.
