I was expecting a bit more from a coffee place in such a good location.

First, the place is rather huge but they manage to have so few tables and sits. The whole area in the middle is so to say wasted. Or rather used for the huge queues of people trying to order something. The place is clearly understaffed but at least the service is very friendly. It takes quite a while to get your order.

The prices are fine and the order at the front and take your plate concept may work, but you clearly need a better system to make it efficient (see Starbucks, Coffeelab, etc.). The drink menu is rather small and they boast of good coffee sources but at a certain time they don’t offer Filterkaffee and just the machine coffee. No clear vegetarian, lactose free or vegan alternatives and the desserts tend to go empty. In that sense the Apfelschnitte is good. The coffee is standard. If you’re not lucky to get a table, the other sits are rather uncomfortable. The view is very good though but feels a bit of wasted since so few places are offered.

The atmosphere is mixed, not really relaxed and not up to the great views you have. No toilets inside, instead you have to take those outside where you have to pay 1€.

Overall not the best place in concept, atmosphere and taste. Would have expected more in such a...

It hurts my heart to give so few stars as there is potential here.

Perfect place for a softdrink or water. Don’t be fooled by the name - if coffee is important to you, do not get your coffee here. The Schanze is full of great coffee shops. It’s a slap in the face to any Aussie or kiwi to be offered a flat white from a German „Vollautomat“. Very cheeky move on the part of the owners.

Service with a scowl, morale must be low (it was not busy, not dead, perfect conditions for good service).

Supermarket quality muffins and cakes.

Otherwise a nice spot with a great view.

Ps. Please get rid of the swings, they...

The only reason this place is open is because of their location and view. I wish places like this actually cared about the quality of product they were serving.

Possible one of the worst cups of coffee. By the name you would think they have an espresso machine - well let me tell you that you in fact are very mistaken. It’s an automatic coffee machine that produces terrible coffee.

The cashier was nice and the view is good.

My rec - come in walk around, snap a pic and leave. I promise there are much better ways to...
