I went in July with my friends and we had such an unforgettable experience, thanks entirely to Sasha. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome, as if we were the only people there, and her energy completely set the tone for the evening. She has that rare mix of being funny, warm, and approachable, while also being extremely professional and attentive.

What impressed us the most was how personal she made the experience. She didn’t just serve drinks — she connected with us, asked what kind of music we liked and actually played the songs we mentioned, which immediately made us feel at home. She also took the time to share her knowledge about beers, explaining different varieties and letting us discover flavors we probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise. You could tell she really enjoys what she does, and that passion is contagious.

On top of that, Sasha went out of her way to suggest places in Hamburg that we should visit to really get to know the city better. It wasn’t just about the bar; she made the whole night feel like part of a bigger, authentic experience.

Honestly, Sasha made our trip memorable in a way we didn’t expect. It’s rare to meet someone who can combine such genuine friendliness with professionalism, but she does it effortlessly. I wish every bartender had her mix of humor, knowledge, and hospitality.

Gastfreundschaft sieht anders aus – und Service auch. Als großer Fan von Craft-Bieren hatte ich mich sehr auf meinen ersten Besuch in der Craft Beer Bar Hamburg gefreut.Es war Montag der 7.7. gegen 19.30 .Ich war auf Durchreise von Hamburg nach Bremen. Die Tür war offen, kein Schild, kein Hinweis auf eine geschlossene Gesellschaft oder eine laufende Veranstaltung. Ich ging hinein, bestellte ein Bier und setzte mich ruhig an einen freien Tisch. Es lief das Monkey-Quiz. Eine schöne Idee mit stimmungsvollen Menschen. Nach einer Weile bestellte ich ein zweites Bier – bis ich dann von einer blonden Moderatorin angesprochen wurde, die mich in einem auffallend herablassenden Ton fragte, ob ich denn ein Ticket für das „Monkey Quiz“ hätte. Bis zu diesem Moment wusste ich weder, dass es ein Quiz gab, noch dass dies irgendwie Voraussetzung für den Aufenthalt in der Bar gewesen wäre. Der Ton und die Haltung dieser Moderatorin waren derart unprofessionell, dass ich mich als Gast alles andere als willkommen fühlte. Als später ein Kellner – der einzige Lichtblick an diesem Abend – versuchte zu beschwichtigen, erklärte er mir, die Moderatorin habe „viel Geld für das Quiz gezahlt“. Doch was genau habe ich – als einzeln Sitzender, nicht Teilnehmender – damit zu tun? Warum wird ein zahlender Gast, der sich ruhig verhält, plötzlich als Störfaktor behandelt, nur weil im Hintergrund eine Veranstaltung läuft, von der er gar nichts wusste? Die Vorschläge, ich könne ja „nach unten gehen“ oder „draußen sitzen“, wirkten auf mich eher wie eine höflich formulierte Ausladung. Ich habe mein Bier ausgetrunken und bin gegangen – und werde nicht wiederkommen. Bei den Preisen, die man hier für Craft-Biere bezahlt, wäre es eigentlich nur konsequent, sein Geld zurückzufordern, wenn man sich als Gast derart unerwünscht und fehl am Platz fühlen muss. Für mich ist klar: Wer als Moderatorin oder Servicekraft so mit Gästen umgeht, hat im Dienstleistungssektor nichts verloren – weder in Hamburg noch irgendwo...

pretty cozy atmosphere, nothing too fancy about the interior, reminiscent of american brew pubs.

on the nights i visited not very crowded, which i personally enjoyed.

super nintendo and scandinavian style shuffle board games for entertainment, good for people like me who get bored easily.

staff was friendly enough, self admittedly not yet completely up to date with their beer knowledge, which is excusable with the number of varieties on offer.

30-ish different beers on tap, best selection i have seen in hamburg by far. bit on the pricy side and no big glass size on offer...
