Ginkoi Hamburg — Restaurant in Hamburg

I have so far had two excellent experiences at this restaurant and look forward to my next.

As mentioned by so many reviews, the first thing I would like to mention is the friendly and fantastic service. Both when ordering for takeaway and when eating in, the service has been immaculate, and both people who helped me were able to speak english with me.

The food is excellent and even more exceptional at the price point with filling portion sizes and excellent quality.

I would particularly recommend the Saigon Bun (Beef), the Bento2, and the Miso Ramen.

When ordering take-away, they know their stuff and put your noodles, meat, and broth separately to make it easier to transport and reheat (if necessary) without losing the quality and consistency of the ingredients.

With their caring approach I had two great experiences; Firstly, when I ordered take-away, the gentleman serving almost forgot to take my money as he got wrapped up in explaining how it was packed and showing that everything that I had ordered was there - Secondly, when eating in, there was a slight mix-up with a dish which had not been brought to the table. I loved that the lady waiting the table was not argumentative or confrontational and quickly sorted it out.

I am a noob when it comes to sea food dishes but my near to first experience here at Ginkoi was awesome. I have tried sushi from not many places because I think it is not my cut of tea or sushi but I have developed an attachment with sushi after I ate it here.
