Hala mignon — Restaurant in Hamburg

This place has been on our bucket list for a long time and last night we decided to make a spur-of-the-moment visit. Although it was a last minute plan, it was nice to find a table for two - the place was, as expected, quite full.

The atmosphere was great. The food was delicious. They had 3 course menus and the prices were really good considering the location, quality and all.

However, we found the service and the behaviour of the staff quite problematic. First of all, the service was really, really slow. We understand that they expect us to experience the slow Mediterenean dining experience. But this does not really explain the 40 minute wait for dessert. And we found the behaviour of the waiter in general to be sadly rude.

We popped in on a Tuesday at 6 p.m. with three people without a reservation. Since the restaurant was very busy at 7 p.m., a reservation is recommended. The welcome, as well as the service, was extremely polite and respectful. The ambiance is wonderful, the food excellent. The menus (vegetarian and vegan) are highly recommended. My only criticism would be the pricing of the wines: putting a bottle that cost €6.50 (or less) on the table for more than €20 is a bit over the top, but ultimately it doesn't detract from the wonderful...

ACHTUNG ZUR ZEIT NUR BARZAHLUNG !Was für ein kulinarisches Erlebnis! Libanesische Cuisine mit einem modernen Touch. Traditionelles wie Lammwürstchen neben einem Loup de mere auf Spinat, eine große Vorspeisen Karte für kalte und warme Vorspeisen. Die Calamaretti von den Vorspeisen waren perfekt zart gegart, ebenso der Loup de Mere mit knuspriger Haut und saftigem Fleisch. Die Lammkoteletts mit der Fetasauce waren zart und auch absolut auf den Punkt. Erwähnenswert ist auch das köstliche Harissa ketchup das bei den Merguez Würstchen serviert wurde. Eine kleine tomatige würzige Freude. Alles ist auf wunderbarste orientalische Weise gewürzt, jeder noch so kleine Fleck an Soße ist es Wert mit Fladenbrot aufgewischt zu werden. Leider hatten wir keine Ruhe für Nachtisch, aber auch hier war die Mischung aus traditionellem wie Baklava und modernem wie Creme Brulee Orange sehr verlockend. Ein Grund mehr hierher zurück zu kommen. Auf dem Vorplatz sind unter einem alten Baum diverse Tische in ausreichendem Abstand , zum Teil unter einem Zelt, zum Teil beschirmt. Der Innenraum hat große Fenster und eine hohe Decke. Die lachenden Bedienenden sind immer auf den Beinen während köstliches aus der Küche geflogen kommt. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr offen und freundlich, man sieht die Gäste gerne verweilen und überall hört man leise, begeisterte Glücksseufzer während geschmaust wird. Ein Gewinn für unser Viertel, ein neues Restaurant das mit Fine Dining und Libanesischer Tradition einen Doppeltreffer in meinem Herz ❤ gelandet hat!
