I have pretty mixed feelings about this restaurant, about food, staff and others. Food in general is okay, but while some dishes are amazing (kimbap, really really good ginseng chicken), some are just meh (black bean noodles, and very dissapointing shaved ice Pad Bingsu). Yes, their side dishes banchans are good and use authentic Korean ingredients, but we come for the main dishes, no? We also had BBQ once here. It costs about 20-25€/person and you can only order it with more than 2 people. So, no single BBQ, which is ok. The marination of the ribs Kalbi was nice. The portion is generous and with the rice, banchan, we were stuffed afterwards. But some Salat leaves were rotten. There is a middle-aged waiter who made our stay not really comfortable and welcomed. He didnt say hello, literally tossed the banchan plates on the table, and had all the time unfriendly face. But if you come to Kimchi, he will most probably be your waiter. Aside from his unfriendliness, he is fast, efficient, helpful with the BBQ. The items in Kimchi aren't cheap. And for that, they don't accept card payment. Only cash. The toilet is downstairs with small steep steps, so not really suitable to people with mobility problems. In conclusion, I will still come back here for the Ginseng chicken, maybe the cold noodles in summer because no other Korean restaurants here offer it. But other than that, I wouldn't recommend you taking your friends here.

The waitress was somewhat rude, we felt ignored and unwelcome. The first time, although the service was kind of bad, the food was great. However, the second time we went there, we ordered a chicken dish, and it was a huge disappointment. We were literally just eating chicken bones (perhaps because we arrived late and they had run out of other cuts), and when we mentioned it to the waitress, she argued that this was how the dish was supposed to be. We then asked for a replacement, and they brought us two drumsticks, but they were still bloody inside. We were left speechless. If you plan to order chicken, I wouldn't recommend going there after 8:00 PM. The seafood pancake is good though.

As it was first time trying out Korean food, I thoroughly enjoyed the grill pork belly dish I ordered. The grill pork belly was juicy to eat. The cool thing about the grill in korean restaurant is that you are provided with a grill pan and a stove and you can cook the meat your self on the table . They also provide a variety of sides and salads to eat along with grilled meat. It is a very nice experience to learn more about korean culture. I enjoyed the food a lot. The staff are friendly. On the side note: the restaurant by sometime only accepts cash which was the case with me so please bear on mind to Carry cash in hand if your re going to this place

Awful food.

I am well travelled and love Korean food. However, we ordered food from here via Lieferando and when it arrived the packaging was all battered and the dishes were all leaking into the bag. The pancakes looked like lard omelettes, and made us physically wretch....this went straight in the garbage.

The salad was all rolled up in a ball due to poor packaging and then poor transportation, this also went straight in the garbage.

The hot and sour stew smelled bad and the fish seemed old, again very fatty smelling and totally unappealing...it went straight in the garbage.

The only thing we did eat was the dumpling...and then it was clear that they were not fresh...they were frozen.

The noodles were all solid and formed the shape of the container they came in...like set paint in a can. They also went straight into the garbage.

We had a thoroughly shocking experience with the take away delivery which cost us 42euro. The food was not eddible and made us feel physically sick.

My wife wrote a complaint to them but we have not had any reply.

Save your money and go buy a pizza from Also, their standard in food is 10x on...

There are lots of pluses to the place: +it is so far the most authentic Korean Restaurant I have ever been to +food is absolutely delectable! From soups, main dishes to drinks and deserts. +the place has a very unique flair +stuff was very friendly and you will not see such a great service often

But… besides stuff not speaking very good German which is not so bad, the worst part was seeing… a rat. Just a few meters away from us, running back and forth. There are dumpsters from left and right side, which are kind of out the sight because of the plastic tent-like covers, but they don’t solve the problem of rats. Removing the dumpsters or putting a stone or metal wall separating them, with some rat repellent seem to be the only way I can see it being resolved. I would suggest taking this as an absolute priority as it is an enormous hazard to health of customers as well as stuff. I would definitely come back if this issue would...
