London Pub — Restaurant in Hamburg

Coming from London, we at first were of course suspicious. But we needed on our last day an open boozer in glorious Hamburg morning, after our annual piss-up of our Weltturbo Jugendtage (1-4/8/2024 by us fans of legendary Norwegian Punk-Rock band Turbonegro). The sweet pub landlady wasn’t even open yet but was happy for us to sit down already, as I was happy to get our first rounds in. And no, nowt to complain about: properly poured pints of Guiness, good selection of Lagers, and Salt + Vinegar crisps too (huge rarity in Germany).

We were very happy, see you again next year...

First ever establishment I’ve come across in the whole world where I was refused a glass of tap water because I hadn’t bought a drink yet (despite coming with 5 others who did buy drinks). I eventually got served after a mindless debate. The two middle aged women behind the bar then ignored me completely and whispered between each other when I came back to buy a beverage until another gentlemen served me a beer. Putting expat British...

Not so much of a "London" pub. More like a pub on Mallorca or Magaluf.

Totally handbagged groups of young male Brits, who even when on holiday, couldn't care less about the local culture.

Welsh people don't seem to be welcome either. Next to the door there's an English, a Scottish and both Irish flags, but the Welsh flag is...
