Ristorante Torcello seit 1987 — Restaurant in Hamburg

Came to celebrate a birthday - so we had a bigger party.

The service was incredible and very patient. Very helpful and went over the menu with us. There were plenty of pasta options with plenty variations of meat and veggies. The wine selection was also good, but beer and soft drinks were also available.

The atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant was clean and tables were well set. Seating was comfortable and tables were well spaced apart.

The food had both highlights and lowlights. Our food was well prepared. I was disappointed with the oyster pasta because of the shells were empty and the few that weren't, were very small. It was mostly pasta with shells. Maybe for the price i expected more - I dont know, it could be me.

The appetizers were delicious as was the bread provided.

It's a good restaurant with a great staff and service. The price is on the higher end, especially for pasta.

Went with colleagues for a work lunch. Service was very friendly. We sat in the back and occupied the entire table. Right next to us is a small blackboard where they wrote down the lunch menu with chalk sticks. I had chicken breast with mashed potatoes, and an espresso afterwards. Both were very well executed. The chicken breast was well seasoned and moist. The vegetables were tasty and soft. The sauce was particularly good. My colleagues had some kind of fish which they said was also quite good. Besides the food, the place is very cozy and quite. Very close to the Alster lake, as well as to the Uni Hamburg. For lunch, price range is between 10 to 15 euro...

The quality doesn't match the price. The waiters were very friendly, the atmosphere was nice and calm and the wine was good. The appetiser was bread that was already a bit hard and dry and some olives. I had spaghetti carbonara as the main course. The sauce tasted very salty and aside from that it did not taste like something I would go to the restaurant for. The spaghetti weren't al dente either. I was rather disappointed.
